The next day in Elderville-Bryxton. The airport was bustling as usual. Corbin Valsecchi, just got to the city. He came alone. He carried his suitcase and walked leisurely while looking around in several directions. After some time, he finally returned to Elderville-Bryxton, and this time he told himself it wasn't a short visit. Corbin let out a short breath with a smile. People were passing by, and Corbin was surprised to find a woman suddenly approaching him. "Ah, you," she said to Corbin. Corbin narrowed his eyes, feeling unfamiliar and not understanding why the woman acted as if they knew each other. "I've been waiting for you for a long time. Come on." The woman simply took Corbin's arm, pulling him to walk. Before Corbin could speak, a man stopped in front of them. Then the woman said, "Why are you still here? I thought you were gone?" The man, looked at the woman who was holding Corbin with a questioning look. Then switch to Corbin. He took turns looking at the woman and Corbin. The woman tightened her arm around Corbin's arm, even now she wrapped her other arm and started leaning on Corbin. "Olivia, I thought at first I still had a chance. You really disappointed me," said the man. He then sighed in disappointment and left the two of them. Corbin began to understand the game the woman beside him was playing. The woman mumbled after the man she had been talking to had left. "It's so hard to get him out of my life." "It's finished?" said Corbin. The woman gasped. She turned her gaze to Corbin. "Oh, sorry," she said. She then let go of her hand. "You used me to get that guy to leave." "Um—yes. He's my ex-boyriend. But we had a problem and broke up. I'm tired of being chased by him so sorry, I suddenly thought about doing what I just did." "A pretty powerful impromptu plan." The woman smiled. "You're right. Em—I'm Olivia," she held out her hand. Corbin who was about to leave was forced to stop. He accepted the woman's handshake in the end. "I'm Corbin," he said. "Pleased to meet you." Corbin nodded his head. "Thank you for helping me," the woman continued. Corbin raised an eyebrow slightly. "You left me no other choice." The woman laughed. "Okay. I have to go," Corbin said. The woman didn't get much of a chance, because Corbin had really left her. Corbin continued on his way. Just a few moments after he walked back, he saw a little girl who seemed to have trouble pulling out her hair which was tucked in the ribbons and trinkets of the back of the unique dress she was wearing, and it made her look annoyed, and wince slightly in pain. Corbin approached her. "Let me help you," he said with a smile. He had put his knees on the floor by then, then slowly released the stuck hair. "That's it. You won't be in pain anymore." Corbin gently stroked the girl's head, and the little girl smiled happily and gratefully. "I came here with my mom to pick up my dad," the girl said. "I just finished from attending a show at my school, so I'm wearing this princess dress." "Is that so?" said Corbin. He's still smiling. "You are so beautiful in this dress." "Thank you." "But you can't be in a crowded place like this alone. Where's your mom?" "She was talking to her friend. Since I couldn't stand just sitting by her side, I left her. She might still be where she was." "Then you go back to your mom. Don't separate yourself from her. Do you want to go back to your mom alone, or do you want me to take you?" "May I?" "Of course." The girl smiled. "Then come on. Take me to my mom." Corbin chuckled. He obediently agreed to the request of the little girl whom he called Princess. Corbin got up, with the little girl, escorting her back to her mom. A woman looked confused looking in all directions with a worried face. The little girl who was holding Corbin's hand called out to her a little loudly a few steps away from the woman. "Mom!" The woman turned. "Oh my gosh. Where have you been, honey? I was looking for you." The little girl ran over to her mom, and was received by the woman with a hug accompanied by an expression of relief. The mother was busy saying a few things to her daughter while Corbin slowly walked closer to them. Corbin smiled. "He has brought me here, Mom. He is very kind," said the little girl. "Ah, thank you very much for your help. I was already confused to find my daughter suddenly not around. Thank you again." "You're welcome. Calm down. She's fine," Corbin said. Corbin was still having a brief conversation with the woman and her child, when suddenly he heard a man near them mention Emmeline Karfis' name in a telephone conversation. Corbin suddenly turned his gaze to a man who was standing with his back to him. Corbin flinched at the hard touch of his arm. The little girl's mother did it, because Corbin was no longer focused on her. "We have to go. Thanks again for your help. Hope all goes well for you." "Fine. You too," Corbin said quickly, nodding his head. Corbin quickly returned to focus on listening to what the man on the phone had to say. Corbin stepped closer to the man, with a subtle effort. Corbin also pretended to take out his cellphone and play with it so it wouldn't be too conspicuous. "You calm down, sir. I've always done my job well. Waylon Ledger won't let you down. You've seen it yourself, I've made our attempt to screw up Emmeline Karfis' company succeed. It's only a few steps until they are completely destroyed. You'll be able to actually mock Vin's name to your heart's content. As you wish. I'm still monitoring the condition. Even though our people in the company have been caught, but I still have good relations with the people around Emmeline Karfis. Her assistant, Chloe Levine, and her twin sister, Lea Karfis. I will always be able to get information from them. You calm down." Corbin's heart skipped a beat, hearing the man mention the names he knew. Waylon was still continuing the conversation over the phone. "Okay. I'm picking up Miss Olivia, and I'll make sure she gets home safely. I'll keep you posted on any developments regarding Karfis & Vin." Waylon hung up the phone a few seconds after that. Corbin's chest rumbled with anger. The few moments he spent in Italy without keeping up with any information about Karfis & Vin had become something he regretted. Corbin, then followed Waylon secretly. Corbin walked with great care and vigilance, trying not to attract anyone's attention. ***
