The List
Sam:
It was the lunch break and, as usual, I was sitting in the cafeteria, alone and away.
I lived a routine life, but today, I was a tad bit bored. In fact, 'a tad bit' is quite an understatement.
As I was there, pitching a cherry tomato with my fork, I was wondering what to do. Then Mrs. Gilbert's words came to my mind:
"Whenever I am bored or don't have anything to do and anyone to talk to, I make a to-do list. I am not sure whether I'll follow it or not but I sure do enjoy making one."
In case you were wondering, she is our English teacher and not to mention my favorite teacher.
Mrs. Gilbert is quite an entertaining woman and I also follow her advice like I was about to do right now.
Okay, I told myself, I'll make a to-do list.
Taking out a pen and paper from my little bag, I started scribbling random things to do.
And all the things I scribbled down were the things I've never done.
To-do list
Well, I bet you're that interested, or you're probably bored as I was at that time, so... Well um... Here's my awesomely lame to-do list. Enjoy!
1. Wake up early in the morning and see the sunrise.
Yeah, I know it's a shame that I have NEVER seen a sunrise but I am definitely NOT a morning person.
2. Eat a whole large family pack of ice cream.
What? I don't eat much.
3. Sit on a rollercoaster.
Yes, I fear heights. What if I fall and die? Oh well.
4. Prank call a teacher.
Don't look at me; I can be a goody-two-shoes student at times.
5. Meet cancer kids at a hospital.
I love kids and I feel bad for them. And number five certainly showed that I had a soft spot for children.
6. Look girly.
I don't want to Barbie myself up. But I can try it once! Just. Once. *shivers*
7. Go to a party and get wasted.
I don't like to drink, but for the sake of stupidity, I will.
8. Bunk school for shopping.
Well yeah, this is sorta trending right now.
9. Make a friend.
THIS IS A MUST. You think I sit alone because it's fun? Nuh-uh.
10. Fall in love.
I don't think that it's a good idea, so number ten- CANCELED!
I was still thinking about what I should do for number ten when I felt a body right beside me. Slowly I turned around and saw...
"Erik?"
Oh my god! Erik Night is sitting with me.
"Hey," he said, looking uncomfortable.
"Hi," I replied, completely surprised that he was talking to me— a loner, the loner.
That's when it came to me: 'The bet.'
"He's playing with you." The voice at the back of my head said.
"Then let's make him payback," I replied to the voice and turned to him, smiling coolly.
I noticed that he was trying to look at what was written on that piece of paper.
Simply ignoring his tries, I crumpled it up and threw it at the floor.
Erik:
As I entered the cafeteria, I noticed that Sam was sitting alone, again.
I felt bad for her, so I decided to have a chat with her.
I was feeling a little uncomfortable but I had to win the bet, just had to.
I mean, I really felt bad for her, but I definitely needed to prove that I wasn't feeling anything even when Sam didn't have feelings for me.
"Hey." I said, trying to start a conversation.
"Hi" she said back and started thinking about something which I-obviously- couldn't tell.
What's with girls and daydreaming, anyway?
It was weird, actually. But, I noticed that she was writing something before I came by her table.
I tried to take a look that what it was but she suddenly came out of her dream world and threw the paper away.
I smirked. This chick sure doesn't know me, I caught the paper before it could fall.
"No," she tried to take it away from me but unfortunately for her, she was so small.
I opened the crumbled paper and was shocked to see what was inside.

The last one was scratched out, but I could see the words written.
Obviously, this girl has never done these things. Of course, the explanations were given when one wish was listed, but still...
I wanted to laugh but I couldn't, otherwise, she would feel embarrassed, and would be mean.
Honestly, I hated myself at times.
"Can I help you?" I asked honestly.
She was confused. "What help?" she asked in her sweet yet sarcastic voice.
"Um, for these things?" I implied, pointing at the crumpled up to-do list.
She was surprised at first but then I could see her lips twitching upwards, forming a smile and then-as I thought- she nodded her head.
"Well then, let's go," I said excitingly as I grabbed her arm and I swear I felt sparks fly.
She was shocked because of my actions but quickly recovered.
"Now?'' she asked, her face held a confused expression.
"You have to bunk school, right?" I asked her dumbly as I took her to my car.
