Chapter 3
I walked into my office the next morning and smiled. Sitting on my desk was Gus' head. I walked closer to it and gripped his hair and raised the decapitated head up. I smiled sadistically. My Boys did a good job in chopping his head off. Blood stains were seen on his face and his eyes were closed.
I clapped humourless. "Well well Gus. Looks like I got your head after all," I smiled.
"You are so sadistic," That voice said.
I turned to her and smiled. "Yeah well no one has any proof that I did it. So technically I can do what I want," I laughed wholeheartedly.
She scowled and strode to my desk. Her long legs protruding outwards and drawing me closer to her mentally but I will love if it was physically. She gasped. "This is Gus Traley," she glared.
"I'm glad you recognized this Lowlife," I scowled.
"Scar, this is certainly not acceptable. You killed an innocent man," she frowned while crossing her arms.
I leant on my table with my arms cross while she sat in the chair by my desk. I watched her intently with a smirk on my face.
"Innocent you say. This man here," I said while tossing the head in the air and fetching it back. "Has killed over twenty families and maybe hundreds of individuals. And you claim he is an innocent man. I'll have you know Miss Pearson, this business is dog eat dog. It has no friends and it has no families. You die young and you die hard. That's the life you choose and it will always be that way," I glared.
"That don't mean it’s right, Scar. If I was your wife would you allow me to die," she frowned.
"No I won't. You know why Pearson," I asked while resting my hands on either side of her chair and caging her in.
"Its Sydney," she said nonchalantly.
I smirked, "Sydney. Do you know why? Because if you die, I'll chop every head off, each body in this city. Then travel to New York and hang all the heads on the crown of the statue of liberty. If you're my wife I'll make sure you're safe. Nothing will ever happen to you, because you will be at my side, twenty, four seven," I smirked.
Her grey eyes glazed into my green ones. I can feel her breath on my face, making my hairs in the back of my neck stand up.
"But then again, this business has no families so I'll never have a wife," I smirked and stood back up.
"You're quite something," she said.
"Any way, let's get to business. I have spoken to the judge; your men will get bail. With probation that is. Court date is tomorrow at nine. You need to be present," she said.
I nod and watched her intently. "Why are you living in such a huge house alone?" I asked her.
"Because I have no time for people. I don't like people in my space and I don't like people. I try to refrain from conversing with people whose knowledge is lower than my cat's," she deadpanned.
An amused smirk met its way to my face. "Okay, Miss Pearson," I smiled.
"How is it that you're speaking to me?" I asked.
"Because you're my client and I have no other choice," she sighed.
I laughed," I don't think that's it," I smirked.
She raised her arched eyebrow, "What do you think it is then?"
I leaned directly to her face, " I think you're infatuated with me Sydney," I smirked but continued with my appraisal.
"I mean I am sexy," I laughed.
"I hate to break your bubble Scar, but I don't like you. Actually, I merely stand you, so your imagination should then be cut short," she smirked.
I eyed her lips then her, "really I whispered," and leaned closer to her.
"Yes really. You're nothing but a mere client," she said almost in a whisper while watching my lips.
I smirked and leaned even closer to her. I can hear her breathing hitched as she eyed my lips again.
"I think you're lying Sydney," I whispered in her ear.
"No I'm not," she sighed.
I leaned closer to her and placed my lips to the corner of her mouth.
"I'll love to ravish your lips Miss Pearson," I smirked.
She eyed my lips again and then watched me straight in my eyes. Her gray pupils staring intently at me.
I smirked and smashed my lips onto hers. She stiffened but she responded immediately. Our lips moved in sync. It was so passionate I wished I could kiss her forever. She released a breath I didn't even know she was holding. I pulled her to me and rest on my desk. She was perched between my laps and my hands were wrapped around her waist.
She bit hardly on my bottom lip and I gasped. Almost immediately she plunged her velvety tongue into my mouth. Her hands found my hair and pulled roughly on it.
We fought for dominance but unfortunately, she won. She was fierce like a tigress. Not once has she lost hold of her prey which happened to be my tongue.
She moaned in my mouth and pushed me back unto the desk. She straddled my waist and not once broke the kiss. She rocked her hips hardly on mines.
"Scar we-" someone walked into my office.
"Oh my god, I'm so so-" they didn't even get to finish their sentence because I quickly grabbed my firearm and shot at the door.
They scampered out my office and I scowled. Sydney slapped my arm and I frowned.
"What?" I glared.
"You're mean. You could have killed him," she glared.
I rolled my eyes and sat up with her in my arms.
"I am so not about this cuddling life," she laughed.
"Right I forgot, I have no permission to touch you," I glared.
"Exactly! Now let me go," she smiled.
I smiled back at her and placed her gently on her feet. She fixed herself and shifted on her feet.
I rolled my eyes and pulled her into me. "What are you thinking?" I asked while watching in her gray eyes.
"That you only kissed me to prove a point," she glared.
I chuckled, " I kissed you because I wanted to."
She glared at me and wiggled out of my grasp. "This is wrong," she sighed.
"I shouldn't have prolonged it. This is conflict of interest. It will harm my job and your case," she sighed and picked up her bag.
"Sydney, I-, okay," I clenched my jaw.
"It’s your decision and your job. I don't want to interfere with that," I said while staring directly at her.
"Good! I guess I'll be leaving now and get rid of that head, its staring at me," she laughed.
I glared at her and picked up the head turning it in circles around my hand.
"You should leave Sydney," I said through clenched teeth.
She nod and walked out my office.
"Its only you and me Gus," I laughed.
I picked up my gun and threw the head in the air. I shot at it ten times before it finally hit the floor. I glared at the head and kicked it to my door.
With my gun still in my hand, I walked out my office. Everyone watched me as I paced the halls.
"What the f**k are you watching?" I screamed.
They quickly continued with their business. I shoved my gun in its holster and walked out the building. I jumped in my range and drove off.
When I arrived at my destination I jumped out. "Scar!" The man gasped.
"Open the f*****g door," I glared.
"I'm sorry but Bruce is busy," the man sighed.
I laughed dryly before pulling out my gun and shooting him in his chest. He gasped and fell to the floor. I walked over his body and walked into the building.
"Scar," numerous voices called. I glared at them all and pushed open the door to Bruce's office.
"Scar!" He jumped.
I glared at him and sat down.
"Where is my money?" I asked.
"I'll get it by Friday," he said.
"Okay. Since I'm such a good person, I'll give you until Friday. If not, your beautiful daughter will be my f*****g s*x slave," I hissed.
He gulped nervously before nodding his head vigorously. I smirked and walked to the door.
"Oh and your wife said she loves you. Unfortunately, you can't see her to tell her back," I laughed.
"You f*****g b***h," he sneered.
I clicked my tongue and turned to face him. "Tsk tsk. You shouldn't have said that Bruce," I said in a singsong voice.
I walked to his desk and laughed. He gulped nervously. "For every time you disrespect me, I'll f**k your daughter harder. Its a shame I already popped her cherry. Actually, she was really tight, like she was never used. But I know better, I knew she f****d around. Opening her legs like thotianna. I didn't even r**e her, she just opened her legs willingly," I smirked.
"I'll f*****g kill you Scar," he screamed.
"Stop making promises you can't keep," I laughed and walked out his office.
------
"Makada. Makada!" Malik called.
I glared at him, "What is your f*****g problem?"
"You're acting bitchier than usual. What's wrong?" He fumed.
"Nothing!" I said through clenched teeth.
"Makada, I'm your big bro. I know when something is wrong with you," he glared.
"Its nothing Malik," I smiled.
I walked away from him and walked into the music room. I walked over to my all white piano. I sat at the bench and casually graced my hand over the keys.
When your legs don't walk like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet.
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my heart.
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks.
The melody rode through me like air waves. The high frequency trampled me over to the pit if despair. I closed my eyes as I continued to sing the melody.
And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Well, me - I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am
So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are
When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don't remember my name
When my hands don't play the strings the same way (mmm...)
I know you will still love me the same
'Cause honey your soul could never grow old, it's evergreen
And, baby, your smile's forever in my mind and memory
I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it's all part of a plan
Well, I'll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you'll understand
That, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
Thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are (oh ohh)
La la la la la la la la lo-ud
So, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Oh, darling, place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are
Oh, baby, we found love right where we are
And we found love right where we are
I played out the last melody of the song and opened my eyes.
Applause rang through the room and I turned to stare at the same exact girl I sang that song for.
"What are you doing here?" I glared.
She shrugged and sat next to me on the bench. "I came to see you and you brother told me you're up here. You have a beautiful voice," she smiled.
"Why did you come here Sydney?" I asked slightly annoyed.
"To be honest, I have no idea. My feet carried me here," she said.
"Who did you sing the song for?" She asked.
"I sang it for a stupid lawyer that I happen to like, but she kissed me and said it was a mistake," I said in a hissed tone.
"I guess that girl is very pretty then," she smirked.
"Nar. She looked like a troll," I laughed.
She hit my arm and I yelped. She stared at me amused. "Is the great Scar hurt by a little hit," she smirked.
"Hush. I might be ruthless but I still hurt Sydney," I glared.
"You're a baby," she laughed.
"No am your daddy," I smirked.
"Scar I am not going to partake in your fantasies," she glared.
I pout, "Fine."
"You are so adorable," she pinched my cheeks.
"Adorable. I am hot, breathtakingly hot. I am so hot you can't touch me without getting burnt," I glared at her.
"Whatever makes you sleep at night," she laughed.
"You're denting my ego Sydney," I frowned.
"Well too bad. I have no emotions to feel bad for you," she deadpanned.
"You're a b***h," I smiled.
"Wow! Says the girl who tried to shoot a man for walking in on us," she smirked.
"He deserved it. I mean those fuckers don't knock," I shrugged.
"That don't mean you shoot them Scar," she hissed.
I rolled my eyes at her and stood up. "Let's go for a walk," I said.
"Okay!" She smiled.
"Wait Scar, you're in your pyjamas," she pointed out.
"Yeah and?" I asked confused.
"You can't go out like that," she laughed.
"Why not?" I asked.
"You are not serious," she glared.
"Yes I am, now come on," I pulled her.
She struggled but finally gave in when I pulled her in my arms.
We walked around to the back of my house where a lake and was present. A gazebo was placed in the middle of the lake with a long walkway to reach to it.
"Wow! In the back here is beautiful," she smiled.
"I know. I come here when I need to be alone," I smiled.
"Scar," she whispered.
"Umm," I hummed. I turned to her and gazed into those captivating gray eyes.
She lent forward and pressed her delicate lips to mine. My lips moved with hers. She pulled the back of my neck and pressed harder into me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and deepened the kiss. Her lips was a mixture of strawberry and mint. I bit lightly on her lip and pulled on it. I tugged it between my teeth and captured her lips again. My tongue plunged in her mouth and sucked lightly on her tongue.
"Scar, I am operating here," she growled. I laughed and shook my head.
"I am the man here Sydney. So move with me," I said and kissed her again.
She deepened the kiss and bit hardly on my lip. I groaned and pulled her further into me. She dove her tongue into my mouth and caressed mines with hers.
Her tongue felt like raw silk. The pleasure of the kiss built further. I moved my tongue at her paste.
We both pulled away to catch our breath. I rest my forehead against hers. The kiss was gravitational. I felt as though if I let her go she will float away. Like a magnet my lips found hers again. I pecked it lightly and smiled.
"Do you want to go on a date with me?" I asked her.
"No. I have no time for relationships," she sighed.
"Okay!" I smiled even though my heart felt as though it shattered.
"That's all you have to say," she glared and pulled herself out my grip.
"Yes it is," I said.
"You know what. I am going on that date with you," she punched my arm.
"Ow and why?" I asked.
"I have my reasons, now walk me back home," she scowled.
I rolled my eyes at her even though I was jumping with joy. Wait, no. Scar don't feel happy. I quickly replaced my smile with a frown and pulled Sydney towards her house. I can't allow her to falter my heart once again.
