Chapter Two..... "Lola

" Oh!" The Alpha King muttered and Ren nodded, his head bowed.

" How much have you been paid?" The Alpha King asked, suddenly turning to face my father who staggered backward from shock.

" Ha haa haf" He stuttered and the Alpha King sighed. Placing one of his hands across his forehead tiredly, with one of his pretty eyes closed.

' Did I just call this guy's eye pretty?' I wondered, hoping not to have some loose screws in my brain.

" Awww" My wolf, Ophelia squealed in my head. " Someone is having a crush" She teased and I snorted, inside of me, before shutting her off. Almost instantly, my arms started aching like hell and I remembered, these two hoodlums of bodyguards were holding my arms way too tightly.

I started struggling to release my arms, but these two, cold hearted jerks, didn't budge and I sighed wearily, giving up and trying to endure the ache in my arms.

" Can you just speak fluently?" The Alpha King asked calmly, his eyes still closed. I could not stop smiling at how shivery my father was acting. The dreaded Alpha King has installed deep fear into him and I thank him for that.

' The bastard deserves the worst'.

" So, I will ask you again" The Alpha King began, snapping his eyes open and cracking his neck.

" How much have you paid?" He asked and I could see beads of sweats pooling on my father's forehead. Fear fully evident in his eyes.

" H half" My father tried to reply confidently. The Alpha King nodded as if, in deep thought before slowly asking.

" How much was bargained?" I think this time, the question was directed towards Ren for he stepped forward and bowed.

" 100 thousand gold coins" He replied and I found myself gasping in awe, before turning to look at my father in horror.

" 100 thousand gold coins?" Ophelia called out in disbelief and I found myself nodding.

" Your father is really a greedy man" She added and I could not agree any less.

' That was way too much?' I thought.

" But on a second thought, it just proves how expensive you are my dear" She began and I rolled my eyes inwardly.

" So I am supposed to be happy?" I asked her and there was silence for a brief second, before she answered.

" I never said that". she defended.

" But you meant that" I told her and she kept quiet.

" Ophelia," I called gently. " We are not supposed to be sold at all," I said. " We are not items nor bags of foods" I reminded and she sank to the back of my head.

" How much have you paid?" The Alpha King asked Ren.

" 50,000 gold coins" He replied and I gasped and the colours on my father's face faded away as he turned to glance at me briefly with a panicked expression.

' What he bought home was not up to 50 thousand gold coins' I thought. ' I doubt it's up to 30 thousand gold coins'. A mischievous smile found a way to my face, as I wondered what Sarah's expression would be like, once she found out.

" WOW!" The Alpha King muttered, even surprised by my father's greediness and shamelessness I guess.

" You really charge high, don't you?" The Alpha King asked with a vicious smirk and my father started shivering terribly on the floor. Terrified out of his wits.

" No no n" He tried stammering but when the Alpha King directed him a glare, he controlled himself and gulped.

" Not really, your highness" He argued and the Alpha King raised an eyebrow at him.

" Really?" He asked and my father nodded, hastily like a child. " Then what?'

" I am sure you know how expensive Virgins are these centuries, my lord" My father said out in a rush and I threw him a death glare wishing him nothing but brutal death at that instance.

The Alpha King expression, slowly twisted to an amused one as he raised his head up to glance at me with his golden orbs. His eyes scrutinised my entire body for a while before he returned his glance back to my already pale father.

Anyone seeing him at the moment, would have pitied him but unfortunately, pity was the last thing on my mind for him.

" She" The Alpha King began, pointing one of his huge fingers at me. One with a golden ring on it. " Is it a virgin?" He asked in disbelief and I wondered why. My father nodded before replying.

" Completely pure, never had her first kiss nor any contact with a man" He added and I gasped.

' How dare him lay me bare like this?' I wondered and felt all eyes on me at the moment. The Alpha King, Ren and the guards did not blink their eyes away from me.

" Embarrassing!" I thought wishing I could rip my step father's neck out. The Alpha King suddenly giggled, before bursting into laughter.

" You are trying to tell me your daughter is a virgin?" He asked again, amidst laughter and my father nodded shakily.

" I dare not lie to you, My king" My step father told the Alpha and he grinned.

" No wonder, you charged high" The Alpha King commented. " I guess she must really be a treasure" He commented sarcastically and somehow, his last words brought a warm feeling into my tummy.

Apart from my dead grandma, he is the first person to have called me something this nice. Even though he was being sarcastic about it. I looked up at him only to find his eyes already on me. I gulped and wanted to look away due to nervousness, but decided to summon up the courage and look him straight in the eyes.

We stared at each other for a minute or so before he commanded with authority..

" Come here".
