PHOENIX POV

The boy was small but had kindness in his eyes, I was weak and hadn't eaten in days he gave me his hand but I did not trust humans at that moment and hated them

I passed out after running some more due to exhaustion, dehydration and starvation i heard voices but wasn't sure whose , I woke up in Vivian , I was alone and looked around my first instinct to get up and run

The Young boy came out from behind the statue , before I could run he pulled me back, I berated him, questioned him nd told him to let me go, he said he doesn't like seeing people hurt so he brought me here , he said it's safe from people who wanna hurt others, it was made by his mother before she died

I was too tired nd just forced the tears back, " hey wanna be friends " the boy said , I looked at him quizzical cuz we just met nd I wanted to kill him but couldn't since I didn't know where I was

Days went by nd he would always know where to find food and want to play with me but I'd tell him to climb the big oak tree first

He told me he was George nd would ramble on even if I never talked, one day he asked if I could teach him how to climb, I gave up getting rid of him nd showed him , he was kind and patient and pure

One night we lay next to each other after a day of climbing, I thought he was a commoner , I dreamt of the m******e of my clan, I screamed and woke up the images haunting me, George got up trying to touch me but I smacked him away with hate in my eyes

He looked so pitiful while saying he only wished to help but I had seen wat man could do nd after losing my family, my clan, I hated them all, all my pent up rage came out as burning flames that engulfed me that day , I wanted to die, all who I loved where gone

I burned myself and anything around myself , the first time a Phoenix' s powers r released its to be a celebration but it was a nightmare fore me

I let the flames burn me because at that point I lost all control.

George suddenly hugged me from behind, I couldn't control the flames so they burned him too I told him to let go or he'd die but he was stubborn " I won't lose my best friend, pls don't leave me like mommy did I'll give u whatever u want just pls"

Having just lost my family too, i could understand some of wat he meant, I tried to cool the flames but couldn't nd I could tell he was being burned badly nd those flames kill humans easily " you i***t u'll die if u continue let go....please? " a voice trying to hide the agony he was in came out, " this is a p..piece o..of cake, j..just promise u'll stay with me" he said , "i hate this world, , i hate man, i wanna be with those who loved me , i wanna be with mamma again" i closed my eyes and sobbed as rage turned to depair

I felt a soft kiss on my cheek " if u wanna be with those who love u, well I do, I miss my momma too but she said we must live for the living, not the dea...d " , I heard a thud and the boy was unconscious next to me, while trying to stop me his skin had been burned to crisp as had mine it was a miracle he went as long as he did.

I willed the flames to stop but they wouldn't they were out of control as were my emotions I wished my momma would help me then I saw her more like a spirit of her " flames are wild and beautiful but when u need it gone you should think of calming and cold thoughts "

I did as she had said nd it worked, I checked George and half his face was gone, his clothes were charred nd the sickening stench of burnt flesh permeated the air, he was half dead and barely breathing" momma pls help him, wat do I do " i weeped as his breathing got slower and more strained " flames can destroy but also heal, now concentrate envision white hot fire not to burn command it to heal

I followed her instructions nd with great effort it worked i spread the flames across his body nd healed him completely, his breathing was finally stable since it was my first time using such power i was exhausted and passed out on top of the guy

The next day we went out of the garden nd I was shocked to discover he was a prince , we stood before the king and George asked if he could stay with me and be his playmate

The king glared me down but i glared back, i may be small but i dont back down from a challenge or fight, the court was shocked nd his brother gave me a disgusting look

With a grin on his face the king said " by order of the king u shall be his playmate and personal guard and.." he was interrupted by George " ...a..and she will share the same power and rights as the future queen and live in the castle in my room nd no one is allowed to bully her....thats all " the king chuckled at his sons words " even if I allow it u won't be able to share a room when ur older and we haven't asked if she wishes to stay "

The king looked at me " king Michael Silverstorm, do u accept living here with George? "He asked," well Michael on the condition that George promises to find the man who destroyed my clan nd both of us get extreme training in swordmanship and magic and as for sleeping...we've been laying together for more than a week so I'm used to it "

The king gave a smug smile " not even ur 18th and ur already so smooth, I'm proud "

[TIME SKIP]

On our 18th birthday George asked if I could be his first for his present, our birthdays were on the same day, 2 days before the festival ,the next day the king was poisoned and killed but it's a whole other story in itself

2yrs later George found the culprit of the murder and the Phoenix m******e, it was his uncle Orian who wanted the throne

During the fight the bastard had massed a large number of fighters attacking from North and South we fought and I had to help the south fight , the king was ambushed in the split second i was gone and he was injured and I guess the whole dark magic happened

He was injured on my behalf nd I couldn't protect him, I'll break every bone in Orians body " it wasn't ur fault we'll make everything right" I hadn't realised it but I had tears falling as George embraced me
