Chapter 4: Victorious Return

A few hours later.

william finally got to the camp at the base of the sword mountain in a fresh set of clothes he just bought and started heading to the place he agreed to meet with the Prince at, and along the Way he noticed that every woman he passed by on the way was staring at him mesmerized by his handsomeness a few even confessed to him but in william's head all he could think of was how shocked his parents would be when they see his new face, after getting to the agreed upon location william still couldn't find the snobby nobles so he decided to wait a little for them,

An hour later.

Suddenly a group of knights in golden armor riding tigerites (a species of monster, domesticized by early humans for riding)arrived escorting a large Golden chariot with a griffin symbol seeing this william thought "he's finally here" suddenly the chariot stopped and out came a man with a horn in his hand who then proceeded to announce/shout

"My lord johnathan liam gryphonwing the third prince of Vagrath and his noble friends have graced the Awakening mountain with their appearance" after the weird announcement by the man 5 young men that william immediately recognized came out of the carriage one by one with smug looks on their faces, they then proceeded towards where william was standing in wait.

the third prince johnathan, then talked to william not knowing it was him "Hey you, leave this spot at once, i'm waiting for a beggar" william was Confused at first but then remembered that he had went through Metamorphosis so him not being recognized made sense "Hahahahahaha! I just happen to be waiting for an i***t too though now that i think about it he did look just like you" "hmph! impossible, none but i look like me, and why are you waiting for someone in this exact spot out of the whole camp" "Well you see i made a bet with a certain royal i***t and this is the location we decided to meet at does this ring any bells to your royal highness?" prince Jonathan was as shocked as can be "y-y-you now way just two weeks ago you were a short ugly beggar with unusually black hair and small body you were also dressed in tattered farmer clothes, there's simply no way you're the same person from that time, he must've payed you to come instead of him, But your voices are the same, this can't be unless you consumed a Metamorphosis potion but there's no way you could afford that" William enjoyed the look the look of utter confusion johnathan had on his voice but alas he couldn't waste more time playing around So he pulled out a square card(a magic id card that analyzes dna) and put a piece of his hair on it, suddenly a picture of his pre-metamorphosis body and face appeared on it along with his name, age and birthplace "now that i've proven myself, let's not dally any longer i've got to get home after all " prince johnathan took a deep breath and calmed himself before talking "Hmph! though i don't know how you could afford the metamorphosis potion, it's still evident no matter how much your appearance that you're still a Lowly farmer who's about to lose his Destined object to me" after saying these words the prince Clapped once making a knight come over "bring out the testing Orb, i have no time to waste on a beggar's bet " the knight returned to the carriage and brought out a large square shaped device with different colored crystals all over it, he then handed it to the prince who placed it on a table another knight brought out.

prince johnathan took of his glove, and placed it on the table before looking towards william "Now farmer come test your power " william answered while holding his laughter in, thinking of the prince's upcoming face of shock "i'll be quick then" after saying this william's nine rings floated onto the table.

upon seeing this everyone present's Jaws nearly touched the floor the prince feigned calmness and spoke as if he had seen everything the world had to offer "s-s-so what? having Multiple powers of destiny is not that uncommon in the world it's not like you received a verbum or anything impossible like that though the God book did appear earlier Anyways let's begin testing, my superior self will go first" after he finished talking he made a signal to the knight responsible for the testing device telling him to begin, the prince placed his hand on the orb, and started to explain how the test would work "yes your highness! destined powers are divided into 5 basic levels:

"now let's see which of the five basic levels it belongs to" the apparatus activated causing the first 3 three crystals to light up, the knight then declared "Your highness's power is a rare-rank worthy of your excellency" the prince then looked at william "see you lowly farmer, you can never dream of achieving this level no matter how much you try" william laughed "such an Impressive power your highness but let's not get too ahead of ourselves, sir knight please start testing my rings now ".

After waiting for the signal from the prince the knight proceeded to test the rings.

A while later.

the knight pulled a piece of paper out of the testing machine and started to announce the results nonchalantly not expecting much "I will be announcing the results now, All of the rings are L-Legendary R-Rank how i-is this possible all 9 of them are legendary ran-"

After reading the results the Knight fainted and the paper fell to the ground.

prince Johnathan not believing what he had just heard picked up the piece of paper but soon after Passed out as well. William waved his hand making the 9 rings return to his Hand before taking a seat and waiting for the prince to wake up since the knights had surrounded him.

A while later the prince finally woke up but he only had anger in his eyes as he threw a glove at william "I can't lose any more of my reputation here So i challenge you to a duel right here right now" william saw this as an opportunity to test out his new found power so accepted quickly "oh this getting interesting I accept your challenge, give us some space everyone, and let us settle this matter" the crowd spread out as the two stood opposite to each other, and as the prince brandished his rapier william also pulled out an iron sword and began to concoct a plan.

the Prince leapt towards william piercing strongly with his rapier towards william's neck in an effort to take his life but william was quicker as he dodged away effortlessly and began to put his plan to the test by moving erratically all over the place for a while confusing the prince, after william had basically went though the whole space of their duel while dodging he suddenly stopped and began to chant while the prince was in utter confusion "Magic trap: chains of etherium heed my call" suddenly chains came out of the ground and tried to capture the prince as he dodged but there were just too many as william had laid them out everywhere and he was eventually caught by them and suspended mid air as william continued to chant a finishing strike.

back in the carriage a shadowy figure was spectating the battle "hmmm.. such swift movements and strength on a magic user he must've had high achievements in the sword before his awakening which means he's extremely talented in the sword though he seemingly awakened as a magic user, what a curious case i might just have to save our young prince in the end".

William chanted as the mana in the gathered around him and began to take shape "Advanced magic missile: Decimating barrage" dozens of magic missiles surrounded william in standby as he chanted until he pointed his finger at the prince "Destroy my enemy oh spears of Mana" the prince was decimated by dozens of magic missiles as the dust covered the battlefield and the results were unclear.

A LITTLE LATER.

the dust was blown away as the results of the battle were clear to all, the prince was on his knees in heavy breath with the shadowy figure standing in front shielding , the shadowy looked at william with great killing intent as the pressure overwhelmed william and his senses began to waver the man gave the last push expecting william to fall "KNEEL! peasant"

the pressure intensified as william almost fell but with rage in his eyes he screamed out in defiance "I..I REFUSE!!" the shadowy figure took out a dagger as he prepared to strike "i guess you'll die then little peasant" but suddenly a godly voice rang out in the prince and the shadowy figure's heads "ENOUGH! retreat Rhinar" the shadowy figure looked at william with a death stare as he disappeared just as he appeared, the voice rang out again but this time only to the prince who was still collecting his breath "your loss does not matter Liam Make sure you recruit this young man this is the first order i am Giving you as the emperor" The prince answered loudly "Y-yes royal father i will not disappoint you", william collected his senses as the pressure on him subsided and the prince helped him stand up "this prince is terribly sorry for my previous actions i don't know what came over me Ever since that centipede.... i haven't been able to focus oh and please tell me your three requests and take them as a form of apology"

william couldn't believe how polite this prince was being but he still declared his requests loudly "first, i want a letter of invitation to the Royal Awakener's academy"

the prince answered "That's easy don't worry about it thought everything else will depend on you " William thought for a little and said "Second. i want 200.000 Gold coins" after saying this william thought to himself that there was no way the prince would agree, but unknown to william, prince johnathan would give him whatever he wants right now, the prince answered with incredible politeness "Of course!no amount of money is too much for you" At this point william started smelling something weird so he decided to up it for his next request.

"Third, a private dungeon Engraved Orb, With a max level cap of 350"

a private dungeon engraved orb is an Extremely rare Orb enchanted with a gate to a private Dungeon, commonly Used by Awakeners to grind levels, the max level cap means the maximum level of monsters in it.

Prince Jonathan almost fainted But managed to keep his composure after gritting his teeth for the first few sentences "no problem anyways For now i shall take my leave to go prepare the delivery of your rewards to the location you choose" "Interesting" thought william "why is this snobby prince suddenly being so respectful, are they perhaps trying to recruit me" thought william, but he decided to leave these thoughts for later "The location to deliver to is the city CAINDRA in the northern part of the of vagrath I'll be off now, And oh thank you for letting me win" the prince acted nicely and answered courteously "Not at all, may your journey go well oh and here are the coins though the rest might take a while" William then left the Awakening mountain as the prince threw him a bag of coins while entering the carriage.

William finally arrived back home Victorious after a Four month journey that involved a lot of gift buying.
