Chapter 9: The situation after 2 years

The biggest church in the royal capital also known as the "Healer's Paradise" Is where William's sister Anna currently resides during her training as a Healer, William ran towards the far away Church at a lightning fast pace and arrived there almost immediately As He had sensed his Sister's magic aura, he had not seen his sister for a Full two years and the last time he saw her She was half dead at the hands of a Vile demon woman....just thinking about this made william's anger rise but his excitement to see her fully healed Quelled william's rage.

In front of william was an abnormally large Church with two large buildings on its right and left at the top of this church was a giant Golden Sword Encrusted with Roses made of diamonds going around it and its Large hilt This is a symbol of the sword named "Magnus Perfectum" The greatsword wielded By the most prominent god "The Ruling one" also known as "The Monarch of Existence" as well as "The One Who Split The Heavens" the first human to achieve Higher being status as well as the one who gave humanity the "Status tab" and all the arcane energies Truly a Dragon among Men, the Church was unusually large due to it also serving as a School for Healers who are among the rarest of magic users Making them highly regarded by society almost as much as alchemists and High level blacksmiths.

William entered the main church building and saw that they were practicing their healing magic, and though it comes in countless different forms the Basics are mostly the same, to convert the Purest form of an energy named Prana into a lesser form of life energy to heal people, for a while William found it weird that everyone in his family had rare classes and genius levels of talent but They still lived as farmers For such a long time, and he had to ask his father about this after he found him, in a line up of hundreds of Healers Anna had the brightest and purest energy and nigh Flawless control over her energy as if she was basically Born to become a Master Healer Having both hard work and talent her future is bright thought William but she was bound to Encounter strong jealeousy from her peers, The training was done and everyone started packing up but just as he was preparing to show himself to her a group of Young women came up to her and began to harass her with name calling and cursing even going as far as to Call her a Beggar the head nun noticed them but decided to look the other way, William meanwhile kept his calm and waited to see how his sister would respond, Anna kept quiet and as they did not touch her she simply walked away treating them as Mere air, This enraged them further as The one leading them boiled with rage and Pulled out a black dagger and Tried to stab Anna with it but unexpectedly to her William appeared out of nowhere and and stopped the dagger with his fingertip Before also stopping anna who Shockingly had a green Blade of prana projected out of her hand about to Stab her bully, The black dagger broke into pieces as a black centipede came out of the bully's Skin and tried to bite william But the moment it bit him william's skin Hardened to gold Breaking the centipede's Fangs instantly, William then pulled out a Jar from his spatial ring and stuffed the Centipede into it before storing it back into the ring, the bully lost consciousness but Anna didn't falter still trying to Stab william desperately ,Something was clearly wrong so William grabbed her hand and Channeled his Qi into her body and Just as he thought another Centipede Came out and attacked him, he already had a sample so he didn't bother with this one and just Burned it into nothingness with a Tiny fireball before catching the Falling Anna and healing her"Something's going on in this city ,i'll have to investigate the centipede later, for now i need to take care of anna"

15 MINUTES LATER.

Anna finally opened her eyes only to find everyone kneeling silently as william had activated his Verbum, she confusedly looked around and upon seeing william's face clearly she started to cry out loud "you're finally back........ everyone thought you were dead...but... but i knew my little hero wouldn't leave me alone" Anna hugged william as he comforted her "i'm sorry big sis i know it's been hard on all of you these two years But now that i'm back our family will rise once more" Anna got up and wiped away her tears and smiled brightly "of course!now that my little hero is back i don't have to worry about anything" William Answered with a Smile on his face"For now you should head on home while i go find dad" Anna nodded while walking away" i haven't seen dad in a few days so i was worried anyways i'll go home and check on mom and big brothers since you said she was attacked, it's a good thing Marcus is at the spearman Academy" With anna gone, william could finally get to bussiness "I've ignored it for a while but ever since i touched that centipede i've been feeling a Very dark energy coming from upstairs in the church that i should check out, i have a feeling it has to do with the Strange behaviours of everyone" William walks up a pair of giant stairs and finds a big golden door locking a room containing The sinister energy he was feeling.

William breaks the door and walks in to the room only to find the pope with a black centipede in his hands, the pope quickly hid it as william walked in "ah you must be anna's brother that i've been told about, welcome to our church please be at ease here as everyone here is sure to be kind to you and if you'd like i can also accompany you for a tour" the pope was a beacon of kindness as even his manner of speech was warm and gentle giving off the aura of a saint "My name is william i. godrend, and yes i'd like that very much" william hid his suspicion and walked off while chatting with the pope.

A FEW HOURS LATER.

William said his goodbyes to the kind pope with smiles on both their faces, William even felt a sense of friendship with the kind Pope "What a kind old man i must've been seeing things earlier, that sinister energy could be from anyone but him but i should make sure before i leave"

LATER THAT NIGHT.

A figure in red robes had a knife in their hands as they cut into something and placed a black centipede inside while chanting Evil sounding words, Suddenly a different figure broke through a window into the room, and it was in fact William who confronted the red robed person "Tell kind pope was everything from earlier today an act to deceive me" the red robed figure was actually the pope but in blood red robes, the red robed pope noticed william as he looked towards him "Who are you how dare you interrupt my ritual, do you wish to burn in the Fires of hell you unlucky mortal!" The red robed pope's eyes turned red as he Hurled Fire at William "HAHAHAHAHA! Burn in my master's Hellfire" William was unharmed by the fire as he just stood there thinking "Has the pope always been evil or was he corrupted by a hell demon sigh~" suddenly The pope started convulsing as he yelled out words in a kinder more warm Voice that sounded pure like the usual pope "c-child r-run i'll be fine j-just run away, and don't worry about me, or Or kill m-" his eyes went red again as the evil voice spoke out again"Old man do you think anyone in this world can escape me hahahahaha!" William slowly walked up to the red robed pope "possession of a pope is pretty rare so the demon must be powerful, and in the end it seems the pope was not evil huh? that's good i actually like him a lot" william dodged every attack with minute movements and placed His hand on the possessed pope's forehead "though i've only know you for a day i'll miss you, old saint! i'll never forget you!...HELL'S ANGER!!" suddenly blue flames came out of william's hand and engulfed the Possessed pope's Body, and as they burned him slowly for a split second the pope's eyes turned emerald green as they were before and he could only utter half a word before he was ash "Thank yo-" William brought out a cigarette and placed in his mouth before Lighting it with Blue flames as a single tear went down his cheek, he then collected the ashes and teleported to the top of a cliff behind the church..

A FEW MINUTES LATER.

William finished burying the white robes of the Kind saint and Bowed to the grave before spreading the ashes with the wind just as the sun rose.

before he left william bowed to the makeshift grave and said his goodbyes"i'll see you in the next life old man".... Suddenly a transparent light floated away into nowhere as William received a notification:

william asked around the guild and found out that his father had gotten a clue about the dragon that took his arm Causing him to venture to the Southern part of the empire in search of it specificaly to a Certain Large Mountain Named "Earnest Peak" So he wasted no time and Activated his Fastest speed Arriving there in a few hours instead of a Week on horseback.

6 HOURS LATER.

William arrived at the Mountain only to find signs of a large battle so he quickly ran Into the caves towards the fighting sounds, inside the cave A group of about 20 men and women were engaged in a fight with a large black Dragon, and at the head of the battle was James Godrend fighting with his all dealing great amounts of damage to the dragon "We finally meet again Black death I have come for revenge, I will slay you and get Rid of the heart demons you've Caused me once and for all" William came in but decided to stay hidden in order to let his father Get his own revenge though He did Occasionily Save the Mercenaries From Attacks that were too strong for them.

2 HOURS LATER.

The fight was Close to its end as James had his Foot on the dragon's heart as He charged his sword Essense for a Final stirke to end it all, he Struck his blade hrough the dragon's heart and after a long Wail of pain The dragon was on the ground Unmoving But suddenly William's father Floated into the Air and Started to Shine with Blue light as He was Suddenly Struck by lightning after of which he floated back to the ground, for an Awakener this was a Clear sign of The Second awakening James's power had started its evolution and the lightning was a sign of a breakthrough in the way of the sword, after he touched the ground William Appeared and congragulated him"Congrats Father on your second awakening I'm glad i witnessed it along with your breakthrough" William's father Hugged him"It's been hard on you son,Also thanks for the help this whole time" William laughed"So you knew it was me all along huh? Anyways What Evolved power did you get" William's father proudly stated "I am Now a Sword king as well as a level 769 Advanced-Lightning magic user"

I can already feel the changes in my body Anyways let's talk for a bit while i rest" William talked about his days in the dungeon and What had happened after he Returned And after that they both decided it would be best to get back home And Check up on the familly before they rested.....
