🌙 EPISODE 1 — THE GIRL IN THE RAIN

Rain poured over Seoul.

Han Seo-jin ran through the streets with one hand holding her broken umbrella and the other clutching a letter.

She had just been fired.

Her landlord had given her three days to pay her overdue rent.

And now her father had called to say something she never expected.

“Come home.”

Seo-jin stopped beneath a streetlight.

She stared at the message on her phone.

She hadn’t returned to the Han family mansion in three years.

Not after her father told her:

“You’re no longer part of this family.”

She had survived alone ever since.

But tonight, something was different.

When she finally arrived at the mansion, the enormous doors opened before she even knocked.

Her mother was waiting.

“Seo-jin…”

“What happened?”

Her mother looked terrified.

“Your father is sick.”

Seo-jin’s heart dropped.

She rushed into the study.

Her father was sitting behind his desk.

But beside him stood a stranger.

A tall man in an expensive black suit.

Cold eyes.

Perfect posture.

Not a single emotion on his face.

Seo-jin looked at him.

“Who is he?”

Her father answered:

“Kang Ji-hoon.”

The CEO of Ji-Hoon Holdings.

Seo-jin had heard of him.

He was famous throughout Seoul for being ruthless in business.

Ji-hoon looked at her.

Then, unexpectedly, he said:

“So you’re the daughter who disappeared.”

Seo-jin frowned.

“And you’re the CEO who apparently doesn’t know how to introduce himself politely.”

Her father slammed his hand against the desk.

“Enough!”

Silence.

Then he pushed a document toward Seo-jin.

“Sign this.”

She looked down.

Her eyes widened.

It was a marriage contract.

Seo-jin slowly looked at Ji-hoon.

“You have got to be joking.”

Ji-hoon calmly replied:

“I’m not.”

She laughed.

“Why would I marry you?”

Ji-hoon leaned forward.

“Because your family is about to lose everything.”

Seo-jin’s smile disappeared.

Then her father whispered something that made the entire room go silent.

“The person destroying our family…”

He looked directly at Ji-hoon.

“…is someone inside this house.”

Seo-jin turned toward her family.

Everyone looked shocked.

Except Ji-hoon.

He already knew.
