The hot sun hit my back, telling me it was time for lunch, but I hadn’t closed my laptop and stopped typing. “Alpha,” Beta Eliot’s shout and his knock on the door woke me up from my chair and away from my work. “Alpha Andrew wants to see you.” The information from him made me sit on the couch, postponing lunch even though my stomach was rumbling. “Hey, dude.” Alpha Andrew entered my room while carrying a black plastic bag. My annoyed face turned into a smile when I could smell the aroma of meat from the bag. “Hi.” I nodded. Alpha Andrew sat across from me and placed the black plastic bag on the coffee table. “I know you’re hungry.
