“Okay. You did your best today like you always have.” Gamma Monica smiled widely as she gave me two thumbs up. “Keep going!”
“Aye, captain,” I said with enthusiasm and a serious face. Gamma Monica chuckled, and I chuckled, too.
Gamma Monica was strict, like a teacher who wanted the best for her students, but she was also a kind older sister who loved to gossip.
I heard most of the news being talked about in the werewolf clan from her, and I’d look it up online if the rumors made me curious.
“I want to play with Luna,” said Keil, the 4-year-old boy. He was Gamma Monica’s only son–I didn’t know if she would ever have another child.
“Okay.” Gamma Monica stroked Keil’s black hair. Her eyes stared firmly at her son. “You have to promise me that you won’t trouble Luna.”
