Alpha Romeo surprised me. After dinner, he approached me while I was deep in a novel in the library.
He would escort me to meet the head warrior and the survivors from that bloody night.
I quickly sent a message to the head warrior. Luckily, he was free, and 10 out of 50 would give up their sleep to meet me.
I watched his broad back, windblown black hair, and his hand held tight to mine. Alpha Romeo was so kind to me.
I thought his promise to always help me was just talk.
I miss the cool night breeze, the moonlight filtering through the trees, the crunch of twigs and leaves underfoot, and the sounds of nocturnal animals.
