Caitlyn's POV I ran. Faster than I ever had before, faster than my legs should have allowed. The cold night air whipped against my face, burning my lungs, but I didn’t stop. I couldn’t stop. The scent of blood and burning wood filled my senses, guiding me through the thick trees. The path Raymond had left behind was easy to follow—shredded earth, broken branches, claw marks embedded deep into the trees. He wasn’t just running. He was escaping. And I was running straight into the unknown. Selene’s warning whispered through my mind like a ghost. If he cannot control himself, you will have to be the one to end it. No. I refused to believe that. I wasn’t going to lose him. Not after everything. The trees suddenly broke into a clearing, and my stomach twisted at the sight before me.
