Chapter 7

1963 Words
After helping me clean up the cluttered room, Omega left in silence without me noticing. When I turned around to thank her, I found that she had already left. Never mind, I'll thank her when I get a chance, I thought to myself. Because of Nell, I always have the heaviest workload. Today was no exception. There was a mountain of clothes in the laundry room, and I took them out in batches and ran to a nearby stream. The water in the laundry room was so cold that the first day I took on the task of doing laundry, I spent the whole day there, all of my fingers cramped to the point where it hurt like hell to move. The water in the creek, on the other hand, would be relatively warmer in the sunlight and not as painful for me. "Look who it is?" A malicious voice reached my ears, and thinking it was Nell, I turned my head to see that it was a woman I didn't recognize. She and several other she-wolves walked up to me and formed a circle around me and the dirty clothes, pointing at me. "Isn't this the she-wolf who fell out of favor after being coveted by our Darren?" The one in the lead trailed off, "Oh no, you're not a werewolf now, you're a slave." "Werewolf? How come I've never seen her as a wolf before? If she's really a werewolf, would she still be bullied by the omegas?"?" "You don't understand, werewolves and werewolves are also different, there are equal like us, as usual, there are such trash who get their heads trampled on." What they said was hard to hear. I wasn't quite sure why these women, whom I hadn't messed with, would be so mean to me, but after thinking about it, I could only guess if it was because they were jealous of the "mercy" I had received from Darren. What a joke, Darren's behavior of trampling my dignity into the mud could be called "mercy"? I was furious, but I had no intention of fighting directly. I knew in my heart that I couldn't beat them now. It's been so long since my wolf made contact with me that I even suspect...it was already dead. I once met an elder in the Blood Moon Wolf Pack, who lost his own wolf in a fierce battle to protect the young werewolves, and was so wounded that he only recovered his life. But the one who survived also seemed to have lost his soul, his movements became sluggish and his thinking less agile, and he would only lie on his rocking chair in the sun every day, saying a few words now and then. We couldn't understand what he was saying and could only guess if he was talking to some imaginary wolf. A werewolf without a wolf is equivalent to losing half of his own life. In this way, the current me, in fact, has only half a life. There was no way I could compete with young she-wolves. If what Nell did to me was abuse, then these werewolves, who were trully members of the Dark Moon Pack, were able to kill me. I believed that even if Darren knew that I had been killed, he would not made any noise, but would only say that I was out of my depth and that I deserved it. So I gripped my hand so tightly that my nails dug into it, and the pain snapped me out of my great humiliation and prevented me from breaking down. Yet her humiliation didn't end there. She picked up my chin, her sharp nails reaching out, and with a little more effort, she could have have pierced my throat. "This face, it doesn't look like much to me, so how on earth did it get Darren's extra attention?" "Probably because she's more of a slut. Or is her mother a w***e, and that's why she's a w***e?" I jerked my head up and looked at her with a look of malice. "What did you say?" She raised her eyebrows, knowing full well that I was already displeased, and deliberately provoked, saying the same words from before again. "Can't you hear? It doesn't matter, you can let me say it as many times as you want. Let me say it, have you been conditioned to be a w***e by your slut mother to get Darren's attention?" I grabbed her wrist in one hand. In all the time I'd spent in the Dark Moon Pack, I'd almost come to terms with the insults directed at me, but my parents were my bottom line, and I could never stand for them insulting my parents. "Apologize." I lowered my voice to a low growl. Instead of an apology, they just looked at each other and bursted into a laugh, "Oh my God Linda, look what she's doing! She's holding your wrist and trying to force you to apologize?" "Just you? Rosalie, you don't even have a wolf anymore, and what about this menace? Did I really get it right when I said that about your w***e mother? And were you really cast out of the pack because you or your mother bored someone you couldn't offend?" I looked into her eyes, and my face became increasingly sullen. Werewolf generally has a sharp sixth sense, and she probably realized something and tried to pull her wrist out of my hand. But in this case, with a burst of astonishing strength, I tore at the wound, grasped her by the wrist, and with my other hand took the water-filled basin and threw it down on her face. There were soap bubbles and stains from dirty clothes inside the water, not only the woman whose wrist I clutched, but also several people around her were not spared. They were obviously dumbfounded by my splashing and didn't react for nearly a minute, after which they let out a scream so loud that my ears tingled. "You b***h!" The woman in the lead finally came back to her senses, and she hissed as she lunged at me, her hands having turned into wolf claws, with the prospect of transforming into a wolf. Her eyes were not fixed on my face, but I knew very well that where she was staring was at my throat. And when she's done, she's gonna kill me with a single blow. I gathered my eyes, gripped the wooden basin in my hand, my brain desperately thinking of countermeasures, but suddenly saw passing Beta Douglas, then came to the idea. "You want to kill me, right?" She did not expect me to be so calm, and stopped moving for a while. "You want to kill me, it does not matter, anyway, my parents have died, death does not hurt me. But let me remind you, out of kindness, that although I am now a slave, I am also a slave that belongs to the Dark Moon Pack, as declared by Darren. In other words, I now belong to the Dark Moon Pack." I could see their looks flicker and the women were clearly listening, so I continued, "Actually, Darren is not interested in me, but I am at least a member of the pack, if I am really killed by you guys. Have you ever thought about how Darren would look at you if you killed me? A werewolf who mutilates a pack member?" Lest they should not believe me, I pointed to the spot where Douglas had appeared. "Just now I stood at this angle and saw Douglas, he also saw us. If I die, you guys will be involved." After all, they are simpler than those omegas, because of their status, they have less exposure to evil people than the omegas, not to mention their own devotion to Darren. I couldn't scare the omega crowd with the same trick, but I was more than enough to trick them. The transforming she-wolf glared at me hatefully, but in the end did not do anything more to me. I looked at their backs fading away, a long breath of relief, I thought to ease up and then continue to work, but a figure suddenly landed at my side. "Very skilled, using me as a shield, it looks like it's not your first time, right?" It was Darren. Darren's POV After I announced that Rosalie became my exclusive s*x slave, she volunteered to take on the work that a wolf pack slave should do in order to avoid me. As the alpha heir of a pack, I had every reason to believe that she was proud. And pride was the cheapest thing for a werewolf who had lost everything. The carefree princess pampered by her parents should experience the harsh reality. I wanted her to realize that it is absolutely impossible for her to live in the Dark Moon Pack if she doesn't obey me and please me. She didn't seem to know that she had a special ability, and I would make her become my obedient slave completely by slowly polishing her. Just Like those omegas, she would also became a fool who only knew relying on me. She refused to submit to me completely, even if she really became a slave of the entire wolf pack, sleeping in a leaky room, eating bread as hard as stone, and doing heavy work every day. Yet through it all, she seemed to have no self-doubt or denial, which made me see her differently. Perhaps, she was different from other werewolves. I must also admit that my concern for her was a bit beyond what's reasonable. At the moment, for example, obviously I loathe people talking and doing things in my name, but I still felt a rush of inexplicable joy when I saw her scaring those women away with her words. This woman, not too stupid. I began to wonder what kind of expression this kitten would have when she found out that the person at the center of the conversation appeared in front of her. So I deliberately jumped down from the tree, appeared in front of her, and watched her expression go from tense to relaxed and back to tense again. Very cute. "What's wrong with you?" She looked defensive, her green eyes staring at me for a split second. I couldn't help but laugh a little and went up and pinched her delicate cheek. "There's nothing wrong, so I can't come and see you?" I asked her, "It seems that you are living well over here?" Maybe she would complain to me? Well, if she was willing to show weakness and offered to stay close to her master, it wasn't impossible for me to give her some preferential treatment. She didn't beg me for anything, and let me stroke her cheek, but I could clearly feel that her body was now almost rigid, with resistance written all over it. I was suddenly discontented with her extreme resistance to me. "It seems that you have adapted well to being a slave." I squeezed her face harder. She lowered her eyes so that I couldn't tell what she was looking at, and only after a while did she whisper to me, "There are still some clothes in the laundry, and I need to hurry up and wash them off and get them all dried while it's daylight. So, leave me." Want to run? I immediately took hold of her wrist, and her wide sleeves were forced to slide upward, revealing the bruises on her arm. After all this time, she hasn't gotten better? I looked at her and gave the order. "Keep your head up, Rosalie."
