Julian’s POV: The next morning, the sunlight streaming through my windows reminded me it was the weekend. I rolled out of bed, stretching out the lingering stiffness from the week. After a quick workout, I headed to the kitchen to blend a healthy smoothie. Just as I was about to take my first sip, the doorbell rang. I glanced at the clock. 9:00 AM. Only one person would show up this early without warning. Fred. With a sigh, I pressed the button to let him in. Moments later, he walked through the door, not bothering with a greeting. “I got your message,” he announced, arms crossed. “You can’t really be going ahead with this crazy idea of being Samantha’s fake boyfriend for Christmas.” I ignored him, taking a long sip of my smoothie, hoping he’d tire himself out. Fred was undeterred.
