20 : I waited.

"You had noodles together?"

Gavin's eyes were widely opened. Athena shyly nodded.

"Wahhh and the both of you got drunk next? and then.... and then... afsndjgfgdwc"

Gavin's words were incomprehensible but Athena can understand what he is thinking.

"Mr. Clarkson it's not like that!"

Athena was blushing deep red tint. Gavin just laughed at her.

"You just invited him to eat noodles. That's already skeptical and then the both of you got drunk? I know what happened next,"

Gavin said and smirked. Athena rolled her eyes and breathed out in frustration.

"How can inviting someone to eat noodles already skeptical? And for your information, I didn't got drunk."

"So he forced you to do it??!!!"

Everyone of the ice cream parlor looked at Jake's direction. Jiyoung glared at him.

"NO!"

She yelled.

"So it's on your will? Or you planned it?"

Jiyoung sighed again to relax herself up. It's Mr.Clarkson. Have some more temper, Athena.

"y'know Ms. Saavedra, Haven't you heard of that famous korean movie where the two lead characters had 'that thing' after the one invited the other character to eat instant noodles? It's quite famous tho. You should know that movie,"

Gavin whispered to her and  grinned.

"First of all, I'm not really a fan of Korean movies. Second, nothing happened! How many times do i need to repeat to you that nothing happened? We just... we just-"

Athena yelled at him but then she blushed mad red after remembering their kiss. It doesn't mean anything. She already told that to herself a million times but it can't still sink in to her system.

Gavin raised both of his hands playfully, acting like he's surrendering.

"Fine fine if you say so~"

he teased her. Athena rolled her eyes and emptied the mug of ice cream in front of her.

"should we go now? It's already sunset. The night market is really cool too. You wanna check it out?"

Athena took a deep breath first before standing up, hearing his invitation.

"let's go then."

She said and smiled, pulling him by the hand.

they went outside the ice cream parlor. The Tokyo street lights welcoming them as they walk outside.

Neon lights..

Joyous vibe...

Loud musics and people cheering...

Freedom..

Athena was awestrucked. her eyes sparkled with excitement

"Wooow..."

Her mouth formed an 'o' as a wow escaped her lips. Gavin smiled, seeing her enthusiastic eyes.

"You want to roam around?"

he asked her. Athena looked at him and smiled brightly.

"Yes!!"

'Adorable....'

Gavin thought to himself, softly laughing.

"Pick it up....."

Ethan anxiously walked back and fourth while calling Athena's phone number. apparently, he sent her text messages already but he receives nothing from her. It's already 7:30 and the sunset just ended. he watched it alone on the veranda despite preparing 30 minutes earlier before 6. he's calling her if she'll still come and pick him up to enjoy the night market with him. At least in that way, she'll compensate from ignoring him earlier.

Now he's trying to call her countless times but no one is still answering. He's starting to worry.

'worry? for what?'

He sat on the bed and yawned. he prepared for tonight. It sucks that she'll not come to pick him up.  he even decided to buy some casual clothes earlier just to fit in for the night market's vibe. 

he's ready to have fun, at least...

Ethan sighed and rested his body on the bed again.

for the last time, He texted Athena once again unconsciously before he doze off to sleep.

Chairman Mircovich: Assistant Saavedra? Where are you?

Chairman Mircovich: hey come and pick me up already... the sun is setting.

Chairman Mircovich: please reply ASAP

Chairman Mircovich: You okay there? Should i come to your location?

Chairman Mircovich: Answer the call.

Chairman Mircovich: answer the call Assistant Saavedra.

Chairman Mircovich: we'll go to the night market together.... right? 

Chairman Mircovich: Okay. Fine. Whatever.

Chairman Mircovich: Come here already. I need you.

"Wait here. I'll buy some takoyakis..."

Gavin told her as they walked towards the bench. Athena nodded her head and sat on the bench, putting the bags of clothes she bought on her sides as she checked them happily.

She got curious with the time so she checked her phone only to found out the unread text messages from Ethan and countless missed calls. her phone was on her bag and it's on the silent mode.  She just forgot about him because of Gavin's presence. She's screwed.

She promised him to watch the sunset together. She failed.

She promised him to visit the night market together. She never came.

She promised to have fun together. She's the only one who had fun.

She's definitely screwed.

"the takoyakis are hereeee~"

Gavin halted on his tracks seeing Athena looking at him with worry.

"I need to go back now."

"Uhhmm.. okay?"

"I enjoyed today Assistant Saavedra. Thank you for keeping my company,"

Gavin smiled at her. She smiled back and hopped on the car.

"Same here Mr. Clarkson. Thank you so much."

Before she can even close the door, Gavin slipped his hands inside so that the door won't close.

"Drop the formality now. We are friends, aren't we??"

Athena nodded her head awkwardly.

"Alright. By then.. Gavin?"

"That's better. Goodbye Athena~"

hebid his farewell as he waved his hands. she blushed slightly before she drove to the hotel.

After 15 minutes of almost overspeeding, She reached the hotel's parking lot. She left the shopping bags that was bought by Gavin inside the car and went straight to the elevator.

She opened the hotel door as silent as possible.

"chairman.....?"

She saw him in front of the mirror, fixing his necktie with a cold look on his face. She just realized his suit looks better on him.

he glanced on her reflection from the mirror.

"Put my card on the table and fix yourself,"

he coldly said without even turning to her direction.

"y-yes.... chairman."

Athena slowly put the black card on the bedside table and went straight to the bathroom.

"you're so dumb Athena!!"

she yelled at herself while pulling her hair from frustration. The chairman is clearly mad right now. His eyes tells it all. The cold stares... The cold words.. It's scary and devastating.

She took a deep breath and composed herself. She needs a proper apology this time.

After fifteen minutes, She finished cleaning herself. She saw Ethan on the veranda. She decided to approach him walking towards his direction and sliding the door of the veranda open.

"Chairman I'm..."

Ethan walked passed through her, not even listening.

"let's go."

he cut her before she can even utter a word. Athena closed her eyes from frustration and just followed him walk towards the elevator.

the elevator was filled with dead silence. 

Athena had a chance to spoke.

"chairman I'm really really-"

"Shut up, Assistant Saavedra."

Once again, She was cut by his cold remarks. It's totally frustrating. Athena bit her lower lip to suppress her emotion.

Ethan walked out from the elevator quickly after it reached the parking lot floor. Athena just trailed his steps from his back.

He opened the door from the backseat of the car, Seeing the shopping bags filled with clothes that Gavin bought for her. He stopped for a moment before sighing. 

"That-! I didn't used your money- Gavin bought them for me..."

Athena tried to explain.

"Gavin?"

"yes! Mr. Clarkson-"

She then realized what she just told him.

Ethan looked at her as if he doesn't care about what she'll say anymore. He pushed the bags gently  to the side and sat on the backseat

'It's not the right time to talk... right?'

she thought to herself, shaking her head in frustration.
