19 : Let's have fun together, Chairman!

The day went smooth unexpectedly. After they ate lunch they proceed to the Japanese Company who was the supplier for the Skylark Electronics and appliances. They are surprised with Ethan visiting them. He kept it cool even with headache bugging him. They were all afraid of him. Athena can't even understand what they are saying since they are speaking in Nihongo which, she is just still learning from the books the chairman gave her.

The Japanese officers seems to be intimidated by Ethan even if they are much older than him. The points on his sentence, his tone and his aura was just really scary. If you can really hear it, It looks like he is sending death threats in the nicest way he can do. In that way, He closed the deal from the Japanese.

"So... What should we do now?"

Athena asked him. He's sitting at the back of the car, crossing his arms in front of his chest while she is driving.

"We have some spare time right now. Our flight will be on 23:00 so we still have..." he checked his smartwatch seeing it's only 4:37 in the afternoon, "6 hours and 23 minutes. Do what you want. I'll just sleep on the hotel."

he closed his eyes while Athena's eyes sparkled.

"Are you sure, chairman??"

she asked with excitement. he hummed a little saying yes.

They reached the Hotel's parking lot in no time. Athena escorted him to their hotel room.

"Where are you going?"

Ethan asked her, taking his coat off. Athena looked at her phone, searching where to go while she's in Tokyo.

"I found some places online... I might go there to enjoy my time here,"

she said, giggling as she saw countless restaurants on the lists of must-go-to while she's in Tokyo. Ethan just nodded his head and lay down on the bed.

"Alright. Bring my card with you then,"

he murmured. Athena arched an eyebrow while Ethan took a black card from his wallet.

"But... i still have some spare money here..."

"You don't want to?"

he looked at her direction.

"Well... why not? but-"

"Take it as a reward for today Ms. Saavedra. Use it but don't overspend."

"If you say so, Chairman. I'll take it with me,"

she took the card from Ethan's hand and held it with her two hands. Her eyes twinkled. This is the first time she's holding a black card. He's really hella rich.

"Ohh I just remembered! You wanna watch the sunset tonight at 6? they said it's beautiful when you watch it near the shrine..."

"You wanna go with me?"

he asked her. Athena nodded her head.

"And it's also the opening of the night market! We can have some dinner after we watched the sunset. let's have fun!"

for a milisecond, Ethan's eyes sparkled with excitement

"Alright. I'll wake up at 6. Pick me up, okay?"

Athena jumped with happiness as he agreed.

"Don't be too reckless Assistant Saavedra."

he said, chuckling

"Yes sir. I'll go now."

she said and walked away.

She skipped on her tracks cheerfully on the parking lot while surfing on her phone, then suddenly it rang.

'An unknown number again?'

She felt the urge to answer it but her mind was full of what ifs. Keisha's number is already registered on her phone so it must not be here...

She answered the phone call.

"Hello?"

She said, hopping on the car and starting the engine.

"Hello? Is this Assistant Saavedra?"

She almost threw her phone in shock the moment she heard the voice from the other side of the phone.

"Y-Yes..?"

"Oh good. I was just thinking if you are... free today? I want to ask you out or something..."

"T-Today? but I am currently out of town Mr. Clarkson... It might be impossible today,"

Athena answered Gavin. She's totally disappointed and you can clearly hear it in her voice.

"Yeah right... I am in Japan right now. Where are you?"

Athena immediately stepped on the brake the moment she heard that Gavin is also in Japan.

"Wait- You're serious??!!!"

"So you're telling me that you're here just to buy some shaved ice cream?"

Gavin smiled childishly while putting a scoop of strawberry shaved ice cream on his mouth.

"I often come here when i have spare time. The owner even know me already. They always give me free waffles."

he murmured like a happy child. Athena looked around, seeing countless of women secretly pointing their cameras towards Gavin's position.

"I think i know why."

Athena just shook her head and scooped on her chocolate ice cream.

"So why are you here?"

Gavin asked her.

"Business Meeting."

"With all by yourself?"

"nah. The chairman is here too."

Gavin flinched with her reply

"Ethan is here too? Where is he? Where is he?"

he excitedly asked.

"he's on the hotel room and resting. He just got some hangover last-"

Athena stopped from talking as she saw Gavin smiling at her mischievously.

"What are you thinking?"

she asked him. Gavinj shook hir shoulder a bit, chuckling at her.

"he was drunk last night?"

Athena nodded her head

"Wooow... The last time i saw him drunk was like- two years ago? That's the time when his sister ran away, leaving the company to his hands..."

he said laughing.

"Can I ask why?"

her forehead slightly creased, curious with the story Gavin was about to open.

"Well, That time he really want to pursue his dream. He wants to be a doctor instead of a business man. He was almost there. But then the incident came. He was so frustrated because they forced him to quit med school and study business instead. he spent the night crying in silence while drinking. he never opened it up to us. he just cried..."

Gavin narrated, reminiscing the past. Athena felt a little bit sad

'So that's why he hate his sister..'

"But then after that, It was so epic. he kept saying things when he's drunk. It was like literally another person. The Ethan Lance Mircovich when his walls are inactivated. It was who he is inside. The one who always hide behind the shoulders of the Emperor Ethan."

Gavin laughed slightly.

"Yeah. he's really funny."

Athena said remembering the things he said while they are on the car.

"People like Ethan were literally the most unexpected when they are drunk since they are always on their guards on a daily basis. They never let their feelings overcome them. they always think of the things they'll say and they'll do a thousand times before they can even deliver it. because of alcohol, they became brutally honest with what they feel. It was worth to see."

Gavin smiled warmly.

'I'll never let go of you.'

Athena suddenly blushed with her thoughts. Gavin noticed it and smiled.

"You found him cute when he's drunk too?"

Gavin asked her, scooping on his ice cream. Athena nodded her head.

"But it's not really easy to put him on that state. He just emptied four bottles of gin and he can still walk on the stairs to his room just fine."

Athena chuckled. Gavin mischievously arched his eyebrows.

"It seems like you are with him when he got drunk."

Athena's eyes went wide with his statement. she was caught off guards.

"Uhhmm- I-"

"You can't lie to me Ms. Saavedra. c'mon...." he leaned his arms on the table and smiled at her. "tell me what happened."

he winked at her, waiting for her to spill the story.
