Dyami POV
As Cat walked in after work today, I couldn’t help but ask, “Hey kid, how was your sleepover?” I know she’s an adult, but I’m still her father and allowed to pry. She just shrugs as she walks over to hug me. “It was okay, we played some video games, had dinner, watched a movie and then headed to bed.” Before I could even ask, she added “Separately, of course”. I smile knowing that she isn’t going to lie to me. She heads to the bathroom to shower her workday away and when she comes out feeling refreshed we all sit down for dinner.
I watch as my eldest daughter sits playing with the food on her plate and making conversation with her little sisters. I have a feeling that before long Cat is going to want to move out and begin her journey to bigger things all on her own. I don’t th
