Walking into the gymnasium I’m utterly surprised at how different it looks. A large carpet has been strung across the gym floor in the magnificent royal blue that pairs with the gold accents of the chairs which together are our school colors. There are white and gold balloon arches all the way down the golden aisle that leads to the stage at the far wall. On the makeshift stage there is a golden carpet across the stairs and floor and a royal blue ruffle curtain stretched across the raised platform to make the stage seem as if it has always belonged there. As I look around, I’m assuming all the carpeting is to keep the preppy girls from sliding and falling on their asses as they strut up the steps in their heels. But even so, it looks wonderful.
