Arriving home today I’m surprised to see Nahuel’s car in the driveway. Usually I beat him here by a good half an hour. ‘Oh well,’ I think, ‘Maybe he just got off early.’ I shrug and head for the front door. Walking into the house, he is nowhere in sight and I don’t hear the shower. I walk around quietlyon a hunt for him before I finally find him in bed. ‘weird.’ I think walking to the bed.
“Nahuel, babe?” I shake him slightly. “Is everything okay honey? I usually beat you home.”
He looks up from under sleepy lids and replies, “Oh, um, yea, well I got laid off today. Apparently, they are ahead of things for the season and sending folks home for a while.”
I nod, “Okay babe, well are we still on for the fair tonight?” I ask a bit eargerly.
