Dearest Joseph, LETTER 1

204 Words
Dearest Joseph, As I was seated under the cherry blossom tree, the hot wind blowing in my direction causing my curls to ruffle a bit. The sun descended it rays on me and a tiny bead of sweat rolled down my neck into my shirt. Joseph, it’s the beginning of spring. I stared up at the Blossom tree just starting to bloom, we promised we would see it together. A bead of sweat rolled down my cheek, it wasn’t even that hot outside. I only felt hot because I ran here wearing my usual thick black turtleneck. Your favorite one, the one I wore the last day I saw you, the last time I held you. You promised me you’d be back Joseph, I waited and waited but you never did. The sweat continuously rolled down my cheek until I realized I wasn’t sweating, I was crying. I know, it’s weird! Why would I of all people cry? And for you Joseph? I vigorously wiped at my cheek and sat in silence watching the cherry tree for both of us. I wish I could go back in time and tell you this one thing, I loved, no I love you Joseph. Yours sincerely, Love.
