CHAPTER 19 - THE OCEANS SECRET

The glowing map slowly faded from the sky, but the image of the second relic remained in Alora’s mind. “It’s somewhere beneath the ocean,” she said. Cael nodded. “The Crystal of Tides.” Lyra frowned slightly. “Let me guess… it won’t be easy to get.” “Nothing about this journey will be easy,” Cael replied. Using another portal, they traveled again. The light swallowed them, and when it faded, they stood on the edge of a vast blue ocean. Waves crashed against tall cliffs, spraying cool mist into the air. Alora stepped closer to the water. “So the relic is under there?” “Yes,” Cael said. “Hidden in the lost kingdom of Aqualis.” Lyra looked doubtful. “How exactly are we supposed to breathe underwater?” Before Cael could answer, the ocean began to glow. The water swirled and parted, forming a tall figure rising from the sea. She had long flowing hair that looked like liquid silver, and her eyes shone like deep blue pearls. Alora gasped. The woman studied her carefully. “You carry the mark of the Enchanted,” she said in a calm voice. Cael bowed slightly. “Princess Alora, this is Serena, Guardian of Aqualis.” Serena looked at the glowing sword in Alora’s hand. “So the prophecy has begun.” Alora blinked. “What prophecy?” Serena raised her hand. Three glowing water orbs appeared. “The prophecy that says the Enchanted princess will gather the relics… and decide the fate of the magical world.” Then she looked toward the ocean. “If you seek the Crystal of Tides, you must follow me.” The water opened like a doorway. Alora took a deep breath. And stepped into the sea.
