Matt woke up when the sky was still dark. He lay in bed for a while, listening to the quiet breathing of the night. The Grand Veil Spire felt peaceful around him. No loud alarms. No sudden visions. Just the soft hum of the twilight orb high above the city. He sat up slowly and rubbed his eyes. His body felt strong, but his heart felt a little tired in a good way.
