We ran like that for several hours. As we continued our quick pace, I grew increasingly lonely without anyone to talk to. I could have contacted my pack but I figured they would think I was chickening out already, and I didn't want that. Who I really wanted to talk to was running to my right, only a few feet in front of me. Close enough to catch my signal if I indicated that I needed to stop, but far enough that our coats weren't touching. My Wolf, too, was frustrated.
