The Alpha in Raleigh, NC got back with Finlay about Enis Greer.
The phone call was short and to the point. He was her Alpha now and her safety was his first priority. If he thought Finlay's poking around was going to put her in danger, he'd shut it down.
Problem was, Finlay couldn't say with any certainty that it wouldn't put her in danger. It was becoming glaringly clear that whatever happened to Chris Greer was directly related to his involvement with Deer Lodge.
Reasonably, one could assume that if Enis began talking about the circumstances leading up to her pack's absorption, her husband's disappearance, and her defection to the east coast, whoever was responsible might feel threatened.
