That morning, Klein's directness left me completely flustered. It was the first time someone had expressed romantic interest in me so openly and honestly.
I left rather rudely, practically fleeing the scene.
When Klein offered to drive me home, I quickly declined.
Sitting in my car afterward, my heart was still pounding. Klein was handsome and charming, but I would absolutely never consider anything romantic with him!
I didn't have an ambiguous relationship with Klein, and I didn't want more people to misunderstand the situation.
Thinking back to what happened that morning, I blamed myself for what I did to make people misunderstand me.
