Meerah 7: The Masked Princess

The Great Hall Patag Castle.

The great hall was filled with Patag citizens and the giant great hall door opened wide to allow everyone participate in the function, as usual The Commander made sure the hall is well occupied before appearing to enjoy the grand welcome as people shakenly left the way for him and slightly bow their head in respect as Kendrick also used the moment to flaunt his little capacity walking stylishly with his hands behind his back, The both of them have been waiting for the princess revelation are ready to deny all charges, so they had better go to the hall with confidence but Rowen eyes blinked when he couldn't find Meerah in the Hall.

Meerah knowing Rowen is much of a pompous kind she decided to reach the hall more late than he does to make sure he witness her entry. Meerah walked in with her black leather pant but this time left her hair on her neck down to her hip as she walked elegantly with her sparkling amber hair glittering and bouncing behind her. Rowen watched her walked in as he faked a smile and bow down lightly against his wish but kept the smile on leaving his wrinkled face white. Kendrick could not take his eyes off Meerah's full hip hidden under her long curly hair, he had always seen her in her leather pant but had never noticed such beauty hidden behind her outfit, her eyes were wide opened projecting abject anger while she looked at Rowen but all He could see was her dark blue electric eyes that was lined with the dark liner, her oval face was carved well making her beautiful hair fits well.

Meerah walked right to The King's presence and bow lightly as she moved to his side standing next to him as Rowen and Kendrick starred at each other frightened about what will follow since Meerah and the King seems like they are on the same page. Meerah watched Rowen keenly and noticed his wet oscillating palm and felt a sense of satisfaction at Rowen's discomfort which shows how much he can also succumb to threats, Meerah met his eyes as they both sent messages of hatred and battle.

The King had already started his speech and had welcomed everyone in attendance but Meerah and Rowen were absent minded since he hasn't gotten to the main reason for the gathering.

"Meerah" The King mentioned dragging the attention of everyone in hall as he filled their minds with suspense and different assumption of what it might be.

Using an orotuned loud and clear voice, he continued.

"The Crown Princess and only heir wish to live her life for Patag as she pleaded to be with Patag Armies"

The hall was stacked silent as against cheering which was expected but the silence was broken by the commander.

"A Patag woman is known to be sheltered from war" he said with his head down.

"Patag is ever ready to accommodate any development as long as it does not harm it's citizens Rowen" King Robin said and was intentional about his statement.

"A woman in the army?" Rowen asked again as if that could only be a ridiculous development.

"That is my verdict and my verdict stands" the King said and concluded in a low adverb voice that seem deep.

King Robin got up from his seat as he set to leave and dismiss the people. His dress was all covered in a thick brown mantle.

The hall gradually became empty as people crawl out murmuring but Rowen was stuck on the hard floor of the hall alongside Meerah and Kendrick as they both exchange unprecedented gaze, in as much as Kendrick felt it was a good news that Meerah did not reveal them instead wants to join the army which is absolutely not there business as it is not a threat to him. Daijan could sense the rage in Rowen's look as she moved closer to Meerah.

" Mistress we can leave now" she made this statement without waiting for approval, knowing how lost her Mistress was with Rowen, as Daijan pulled her off the scene she made sure she doesn't meet Rowen's gaze but Meerah kept starring at him as she wonders what is going on his head as he was also wondering what could be Meerah's aim for being in the army, both of them are clueless of what each other next move would be.

Rowen and Kendrick are finally back to their crib as the room was dark and quiet since Rowen is in deep thought and Kendrick never had the sanity of lighting the candle due to his fear of fire.

"Father" Kendrick mentioned dryly as he tried to start a conversation.

"Light the candles before you hurl debris from your jaw" Rowen ordered as he points towards the larger candle and folded his arm with his head down as he went deep in thought. Kendrick did not bother to complain but succumbed, knowing fully well that he might get beaten if he doesn't comply today.

He picked the stones and merge them scantily as he was scared, his legs shivers and his feet wet as he finally got fire from the stone, he screamed so hard but was able to light the candle.

"You will marry Meerah as soon as possible and you will light a fire on her" Rowen said from a side of the room in resentment as his fleshy face moved to the rhythm and emphasis of his words.

Kendrick was shock to hear that and moved backward from the fire. He looked at his Father in disgust and find the urge to fight him back for thinking of such atrocity

"But Father Meerah is no longer a threat, she did not reveal us to anyone, she just want to be in the Army"

"Of course you will say she is not a threat because you are block headed and cannot understand when an opponent is up to something" Rowen said in anger as he was raising his hands and voice on Kendrick, his eyes were bloody red and his face seem as the same colour as those eyes but Kendrick seem not be buying this appearance today as though he was shivering but could not stop himself from talking to Rowen about what he feels.

"I might be block headed but I am not a killer and inside my blocked head, I know an innocent person when I see one" Kendrick voice became sore and teary almost close to tears as his eyes were all soaked in tears.

"I am the child of the commander but I don't even know how to protect myself, I can't even think of joining the Army, she is fierce and beautiful" he added looking stupid at the last statement as he wondered if he is just for truth or he had finally fall for the Princess.

Rowen clapped his hands in ridicules as he smiled in a deadly way with a smirk.

" you can now raise your voice at me over a woman". Rowen said as he held Kendrick in the neck.

"You are a piece of trash" Rowen shouted and left Kendrick choking.

"You might be the end of us Father" he said as he struggled to regain himself.

"You, you will be the end of us if you don't do as I have ordered" Rowen countered point back directly to his face.

"In as much as the King have no good relationship with her Father, he won't still let this slide when his daughter is killed"

Kendrick coughed.

"That relationship is what Meerah is planting and it might be too dangerous for us when it is the King and Meerah against us".

"We have to take one of them down" Rowen added.

"I am sorry Father, I won't be a part of this cycle". Kendrick said and left the crib in a rush.

" Ken! ken! Kendrick Cendrick come back here now!" But Kendrick flee and those screaming was to no avail.

Rowen went back inside feeling so restless and disappointed for not being on the same page with Kendrick, he regarded him as always being foolish.

Kendrick roams about the town and realised how foolish he was for leaving the house when he had no coat on and no where to stay, he folds his arms around his body as he tried to rub his back and cuddle himself when he suddenly decided to visit his favourite spot, he had been away from there for while now due his Father always occupying his head with tales of power, left to Kendrick he is a carefree Man that just want to be happy and merry with drinks around. He dragged himself to the brothel owned and ran by his friend.

"KenCen!" Kendrick turned around as he heard a voice calling on him from the loud sound of the music, it could only be his friend calling him with such nickname.

"Oh it you" his friend laughed hard as he walked towards him with his hands spread out In gesture.

He touched Kendrick in the face and neck saying"you are still very much alive Ken and it you, where have you been?" He shouted to raise his voice above the music.

"Have been busy with lot of businesses" Ken shouted back smiling.

"You mean your Father's business Ken" His friend mentioned that sarcastically.

But Kendrick turned deaf ears to his ridicule and requested for a drink.

"Get me a drink, I am cold".

" you got money?" He asked

Kendrick looked at him and answered with confidence.

"I will pay you every penny I owe you soon" and he thought about how wealthy he will become if he finally becomes King.

"I will double it if you remain a good Kid" Kendrick said to his friend as he patted him gently on his shoulder and gulp a hot soda down his throat.

"We got new women too" his friend whispered into his ear.

Kendrick laughed and answered.

" I don't want a new woman, I want Akira"

He said as he fell to the table.

His friend pointed a finger at a lady asking her to come over.

" get Akira to come over"

A lady dressed almost half naked with her boobs protruding outside her transparent white lengthy gown, her dress reveals her pant and Brazier giving you the comfort of tracing the line of her body, she jacked Kendrick roughly with her as he was heavier in his drunken state.
