Chapter -7

Morning comes too early for them. Despite of sleeping very late last night, the two souls wake up with a start feeling fresh and giddy. They couldnt stop their smiles . All family members are also happy seeing their happy faces.

All the adults were seeing the last minute preparation and the elders were chit chatting and enjoying their time. And why not they will!! Its kali puja one of bengalis second best puja then comes diwali.. 

With all their hard work and banterings the day passes by quickly and evening approached. There is a small function along with puja too . Allthe youngsters are reharsing last minute so that they could give their best. 

Veer and anu too are reharsing. They will be performing a duet punjabi dance show. In rehersal also veer is teasing anu and she keeps on blushing. Like this the time of their performance approached. They went to the stage and started performing . They give their hearts in this dance. Not once took eyes off from each other..their every step matched. Whenever anu did a slightest blunder veer without a blink balanced it with his moves. They finished it off by veer swiping anu off her feet and their eyes keep staring each other. After them there were a singing performance and a group dance by come children. And with this there little function come to an end. And finally arrives the time for puja.

Kali puja generally happened during midnight . There is a bhog distribution also. All people from their locality came and did the arti of the kali maa. This time veer and anu did the arti together. Smile never left their face neither shine from their eyes. After that they both distributed bhog to the poor people and other member of the locality.. when all this ended,they make their plates of bhog and sat with their friends to eat. They all are having a gala time , teasing each other,  making fun and eating too. In between veer didnt forget to make anu eat atleast one bite from his hand. All of their friends after seeing that laughed off knowingly but anu and veer they shrugged it off and are having their dinner.

Soon they retired to bed after a whole lot of enjoyment.

Next morning there is diwali. All the youngsters freshened up and went for the diwali shopping . They bought different types of fire crackers. They decorate their house and whole locality like a newly wedded bride. At the evening , when the lights are on the place looked beautiful. Veer and anu lighted diyas in their houses too. Soon all gathered to burst crackers. Veer gave anu a long lecture of safety tips beforehand only . He dont want any scratch on anu. Anu at first was frustrated by seeing veer's over protectiveness but at the end nodded at his words and kept a frown on her face whole time. 

Seeing a frown on her face , he realised he got a bit too out of line. So he decided he should somethhing to gain his angel's smile. He called his friend Anshuman and told him to send anu in the terrace stairs after few minutes. He did as he was told and within few minutes anu reach the terrace floor huffing and puffing. Actually she was angry as well as scared because anshuman told her that veer got injured while coming down the terrace . Listening him, she rushed to him but after reaching the terrace and finding veer to be in his all glory standing supporting a wall she stompped her feet and was ready to go. But veer was quick in action. He caught her wrist and pulled her on him.

He kept one hand on her wasit pulling her close so that her front was sticking to his front and with the other hand he was caressing her face . She feeling the sensations closed her eyes. Veery very slowly kissed her forehead and hugged her. She meanwhile fisted his shirt and inhaled his scent. A swirl of emotions was there in her heart. She was confused , first she was angry at his lecture , then when she heard about his fake accident her heart stop for a moment though now it was at relief by seeing him safe and sound. Her mind was angry at him for pulling such stunt so she was struggling in his hold to get free but veer being veer wrapped his both hands around her tightly and brought his face closer to her ears and asked for forgiveness . But unfortunately luck was not on his side she kept struggling and somehow got relase from his hold and turned back to go down. 

Veer couldnt know what to do how to make her smile like before . His heart was thumping. He didnt like his angel to be angry on him for even a few seconds and here she was angry on him from few hours. So without thinking he grabbed her neck from backward and turned her around just to place his rough lips on her soft plump ones. By realising the situation anu's eyes were wide opened. Here veer was in a pure bliss. His eyes closed feeling for the first time her soft pink lips on his. True they touched each other , he kissed her but they were all innocent touches and kisses. Today he became bold enough to take a step further because he couldnt control himself . The way she dressed today frst at morning saree and then in evening salwar suit , they way her milky skin was on display . He couldnt control his urges . He wanted to see whether her lips was as soft as it looks from a long time. 

Anu being a novice and a shy one in this matter couldnt move a muscle. She was too scared . Several thoughts crossed her mind. What if some one caught them?? What if veer didn't like her lips? What if her father comes there?? The last what if was enough for anu to snap open her eyes. The first sight she see after opening her eyes caught her breathe in her throat. She could see veer's face in bliss and serene. He was not doing anything. He just kept their lips in contact by pressing his lips on hers. Her hand fisted his shirt. Veer slowly opened his eyes too sensing a stare on his face. They were lost in their own world. Their lips pressed , their bodies completely moulded...but alas!!!  Their staring competition got broken by Anshuman's call. He called them as all are searching for them. Veer told him  they are coming in few mintues and till then handle the situation. As told Anshuman told her family that anu was gossiping with her friends in terrace. They got relaxed. 

But in terrace , situation is somewhat different. They were standing like a statue. Anu profusely blushing by thinking about their moments and veer smiling at anu by seeing her blushing. 

Finally , taking some  courage veer stepped forward and hold anu's chin in between his fingers and tilted upwards . She though her face was upward but eyes downcast. She was too shy to make an eye contact. Somehow veer managed to make her see him in his eyes and seeked forgiveness genuinely. At that anu nodded granting him sorry. 

Veer was too happy that his angel forgive him. He hugged her and at last kissed her on her forehead, eyes, cheek , nose and finally a sweet simple peck on her lips. Anu closed her eyes . Seeing this veer once more pecked her on lips and released her. Their hearts beating rapidly inside he rib cage. Finally calming their beating hearts, they prepared themselves to go downstairs. And enjoyed the remaining night by stealing glances of each other.

Later at that night , when they went to hit bed veer texted anu saying that it was the best diwali of his life. Not only his angel forgive him but also he got to taste her sweet possession i.e lips. Anu being shy texted him with a good night . And slept off with a smile. Veer too slept peacefully that night dreaming about the incident again and again..
