Beside me, Willa scribbled down the names and structures of the compounds on the board into her chemistry notebook while the teacher droned on about the exercise he wanted us to do today. My mind was not on the lecture. It was on Julia who I noticed kept giving me occasional dirty looks.
Damn I was mad! I was mad that today things were more or less going on normally even though there was a murderer sitting just a few paces from me. Where was the fairness? Where the hell was the justice when my father could be sent out of the pack under suspicion of wanting to kill the Alpha while a full-fledged murderer walked free?
