Willa and I got to the admins office as soon as we could but not fast enough. A queue extended from the admin's office down to the hallway.
"Looks like every girl in the school is here," Willa remarked with a sigh.
"Maybe we should have come sooner," I remarked, feeling irritated by the number of people present.
"I don't think that would have helped. I think some people skipped classes just to be here."
I sighed. "Yeah, I guess. Maybe I should come back tomorrow..."
Willa did not let me finish the thought. She grabbed my arm.
"No way, Hannah," she said. "You're registering today. Tomorrow you might decide to chicken out."
