"He hardly misses dinner," Mara said after Alexander had left angrily.
"But I did nothing wrong, he was clearly asking for it," Hailey said in defense but the expression on Mara's face made Hailey feel guilty. She couldn't take the pang of guilt anymore so she stood up from her seat and went to the kitchen, with Mara following her from behind.
"What are you doing?" Mara asked curiously, she couldn't help but wonder what Hailey had in mind.
"I want to take his dinner to him since I am the reason he got angry and left even though he would never do the same for me" Hailey replied with a hint of frustration in her voice.
