"What are you doing!! Let me go right now, you're hurting me damn it!" Amber yelled.
Zack smirked wickedly, his eyes held so much anger and it was all directed at her. He was glad she came here herself, now he'll have the chance to punish her for her crime and he's going to enjoy every single bit of it.
Amber's chest heaved up and down, her breathing was coming out fast, she was pissed off now, so pissed. Her eyes glowed a bright shade of gold, showing the presence of her wolf. She couldn't take on the Alpha if they were to get into a fight, but she's not a damn weakling, and she won't let anyone hurt her, not even the Alpha.
Her fingers on her right hand elongated and she used her claw to s***h his hand, causing his grip on her hand to weaken.
She used that as an opportunity to push him off, freeing herself from him.
"Are you crazy!" She yelled in rage.
Zack stared at his hand, blood was oozing out of it, but it quickly healed up. She hasn't just caused damages to his company and image, she has also dared to hurt him.
He glared at her and he growled dangerously.
Amber rolled her eyes at him, her eyes were back to normal now.
"Don't think you can scare me with that growl of your Alpha." She said, The sarcasm is noticeable in her voice.
"You can't even tell me what I did wrong, what did I do to you huh?"
Zack tried to approach her but she stopped him instantly.
"Hold it right there!" She stretched out her hand, signaling for him to stop.
Zack stopped dead in his tracks.
"Don't even think of coming close to hurting me because I won't let you do that, I'm not some kind of weakling you can mess with when and however you like, I don't care if you are the Alpha. I won't get punished for something I know nothing about." She stated firmly.
Zack chuckled darkly, she clearly has no idea whom she's talking to.
He went to her in a flash, he grabbed her neck and pushed her roughly to the wall, he was slowly choking her.
Amber kept on tapping on his hand for him to let her go, but he only tightened his grip the more.
"You claim to have no idea about anything, don't you?"
"What made you think I won't find out about what you did? Who paid you to do that huh? Who did!" He yelled as he choked her even more.
Amber's eyes were getting watery, her head was spinning and she was beginning to feel dizzy, it felt like she was slowly losing her life.
At that moment, Amber knew that if she did nothing to escape this Alpha, then he'll definitely kill her for real.
She gathered all the strength she could and kicked him hard in the groin.
Zack groaned in pain and he let go of her.
Amber was nursing her neck with her hand, she was breathing heavily. She glared dangerously at him and shook her head in disappointment. This is the man her mother wants her to marry, a cruel man like this. No! Never!
She ran to the door and forcefully opened it, then she dashed out of the room, running as fast as she could.
On her way out, she bumped into Xander.
"Let me go!" She screamed as she hit his chest.
"Amber! Amber! Relax, it's me, Xander." Xander said.
Amber calmed down and she looked up at him, she sighed in relief when she saw it was him, "Take me away from here. Please."
"Let's go." Xander said.
He took her hand and led her to where his car was parked, they both got in and he drove off immediately.
"Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere, but not back home, just take me anywhere."
"How about my home?"
Amber nodded positively, she relaxed her back on the seat and closed her eyes, breathing softly.
Xander's eyes went to the mark on her neck, he needed no soothsayer to tell him that Zack was responsible for those marks on her neck.
"What the hell happened there?" He said under his breath.
Xander's house.....
The car pulled up in front of Xander's home and they both got out.
Amber looked at the house with a smile on her face, old memories of when she used to come and spend time with Xander flashed through her mind and she giggled at the memory.
Xander came to her side and he looked at her confusedly, "What's with you?"
Amber turned to face him, "Don't you remember how we used to run and play around here, all those fun memories?"
Xander sighed, "I remembered."
"Those days were one of the best days of my life," He said inwardly.
"Come on, let's go in."
He led the way inside, "Wow, not much has changed in here." Amber said as she stared around the whole place.
"Yes, I haven't got the time to change my appearance, but it's still good, right?" Xander asked and Amber chuckled.
"It is." She replied, she went to sit and Xander went to sit beside her.
Amber heaved a deep sigh and her hand unconsciously went to her neck.
Xander saw this, "What happened?" He asked, jolting her out of her thoughts.
"It's nothing really."
"Don't give me that Amber, I won't fall for it. And we've been friends for so long, you can trust me with anything, you can tell me your problems, except you do not trust me."
"No no no, that's not it, and of course I trust you."
"Then tell me what happened, I know—" He trailed when his eyes saw the mark on her wrist too.
Xander took her hand, the wound has healed up, but it still left a mark. His blood boiled with rage as he stared at her injuries which were all caused by Zack.
"He did this too, didn't it?" He said with gritted teeth.
"Xander." Amber called softly, she placed a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down, she could feel the rage rolling off him in waves.
"Calm down Xander, please."
"And you do not have to worry, I also inflicted the same injury on him, you didn't think I'd let him off so easily did you?" She questioned with a smirk.
Xander looked at her in disbelief, "What? You hurt him back?" He asked, not being able to believe his ears.
Amber scoffed loudly, "You talk like you do not know me Xander, once bitten, I always bite back!" She seethed.
Xander laughed loudly, "This is unbelievable, I mean, we're talking about the Alpha here, a man who's cold and so dangerous, a man whose presence alone makes one tremble due his aura, someone who no one can maintain eye contact with, some—"
"Okay okay okay, I get it, enough with the whole intro, you keep going on and on and on and it's giving me a headache." Amber interrupt. Xander chuckled.
"He's cold, he's ruthless, he's this and that, and so what?"
"If he's cold then I'm crazy and no one dares to mess with a crazy b***h like me, I won't spare whoever dares to step on me and treat me like a weakling, not even the Alpha!" She stated.
Xander shook his head, this attitude of hers always put them in trouble during their younger days, but then, she's Amber after all, the one whom everyone knows to be crazy as hell.
Her behavior is good as well as not good.
Good because with this attitude of hers, she can take good care of herself and fight for herself. Not good because she still manages to land herself in trouble every now and then.
"So tell me then, what happened?"
"Well as you know, I didn't want to agree to this marriage because of my boyfriend, I needed to get his approval first, I wouldn't want to do anything behind his back, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I ever hurt him."
"Mmm." Was all Xander said.
"So I called him and explained the whole thing to him and guess what?"
"What?"
"He agreed to it!"
"What? You're kidding right?"
"Of course not, I was equally shocked as well, I didn't expect him to agree so easily, but then he did it because of me." She said with a bright smile.
This didn't sit well with Xander, he can't understand why her boyfriend agreed to this. If he had been the one in his position, then he wouldn't have agreed for her to get married to anyone else, even if it was only for a short time.
He would have rushed down here and taken her far away, somewhere no one would be able to find them, but no, he did the opposite of that.
