Zack glared at Amber, and she didn't hesitate to return it. Besides, they were in her house, and he wouldn't dare hit her in front of her mother.
“Amber, it's not proper to talk to the Alpha in such a way,” Her mother scolded, before facing Zack. “I'm sorry, Alpha. She isn't always like this.”
Zack scoffed. She was exactly like that, there was no need covering up for her. When Zack said nothing, Amber's mother cleared her throat and averted her gaze to Amber.
“Zack is here in respect to the marriage proposal. I want you to tell him how you've accepted and would love to be his wife.” Her mother said.
Amber blinked twice. “Mum, I don't want to marry him!” She snapped.
Zack was shocked. Seriously? Was this lady trying to mess with him or what? Who did she think she was to waste his time?
