Chapter Three - SHATTERED HOPE

ZOFIA’s POV

I was sobbing hysterically, if you ask me it wasn’t really because of the whole turn of tonight's event, it was just the feeling of losing to my bad luck again!

Just when I thought I would finally rest and live in peace again, another bad luck smiled brightly at me and took my happiness away.

“Shhhhh! You will get us in trouble, please just stay quiet… at least until we know what’s happening, These men in suits are not smiling at all!” Joanna warned me again for about the twelfth time since the journey started.

How does she expect me to stay quiet, when my last hope of giving merek the good life he deserves had just been snatched again from my hands, this time I was so close, I could smell it.

Just last week I got a Royal letter from the well-known Alpha twin of the Northern hill pack, requesting for my presence and cooperation in a contract marriage. They promised me the life that I have been begging for, they even offered more, in return that I mate with them and give them sons as they do not have a mate as well.

Of course, I didn’t think about it all, what’s there to think about, at that same moment I agreed to it and left my sad life in ice land pack, taking my little brother along with me, he’s the reason I’m giving my life to two men at the same time.

Joanna wouldn’t hear of it, she also packed her bags and followed me, I begged her to stay back as I wasn’t sure of what awaited me in the very far new pack. But she insisted on following me and here we are.

Here we are again, in this damn big and richly furnished limousine, I looked around me again and noticed that I was surrounded by sophisticated and beautiful scenery, but it might as well be my last scenery before they kill me.

Tonight was supposed to be my wedding ceremony and bonding night but my bad luck wouldn’t hear of it, some men came to twins Christos and Jonas pack, right in front of them, and they bundled me out, with my friend and little brother!

I stared at merek, he was scared as well but smiled back at me, “my sweet boy” I murmured, robbing his chin as I reached out for him, “I just want you to be happy” I informed him, my eyes filled with hot tears again, he smiled brightly at me and moved closer to hug me.

Joanna looked at us sadly and smiled too, I know she was also scared. They were both trying to make me feel better, I sighed loudly and smiled sadly back at them, I have to be strong for them.

I watched in dread as our car kept speeding with about five others following closely behind us.

ANDREAS POV

I could sense their arrival, immediately the sixth and last car drove into the pack estate I knew it, all my senses were on alert and I couldn’t wait to bring this new girl on her kneel, she would be the scapegoat for the twin alpha, “what an unlucky girl”, I thought to myself, without any remorse.

“She’s here!” Damianos announced, he had been sitting close to the window since our beta and few guards left to bring her to us, this revenge plan was very precious to the three of us and we were trying so much to keep it quiet and away from our delicate and nice mother.

I and Giorgos rushed out of our seats to the window side and watched from the top floor as our guards came down from all the six cars they took with them, the limousine finally opened and a little boy was dragged out first, sincerely I didn’t like how they pushed him, he has nothing to do with this, but I decided to tell my guards about that later.

“That’s her…. I haven’t seen her before, but I can differentiate her from the color of her hair and skin!” Damianos informed us, his voice was shaky and he sounded so agitated, I looked with more focus at who was making my brother sound so amazed.

My eyes landed on her and my breath caught in my throat at once. I couldn’t see her clearly because they were several floors below us, the last floor. But that very little glimpse of her captured my whole sanity immediately, for a few seconds I couldn’t breathe, it has never happened to me before.

The guards ushered them to the entrance of our building and almost immediately they were out of our view, I turned away from the window and held my chest, my wolf was running around in my head and I felt that my brothers were feeling the same way.

“What’s happening… this girl is going to be my death!” Giorgos exclaimed, he was the first to voice out our thoughts, Damianos shot out of his chair and almost ran to the far entrance of our very big office.

His eyes were dancing and he couldn’t wait for their arrival, something was definitely wrong, it was out of the ordinary, the three of us couldn’t wait to get our hands on this so-called Zofia, our wolf was prancing and howling about, crying to touch and see her clearly.

“They will be here soon… we will find out what’s going on” Damianos voiced out, he was totally out of breath as he spoke, he didn’t even spare us a glance, his eyes were fixed on the door, he stood very close to it, like a hunter waiting for its prey to enter its trap.

I smirked, If the emotionless and hard-hearted Damianos could act like this, then I shouldn’t beat myself up for feeling the way I was feeling right now, it’s definitely not up to us, there’s something about this Zofia girl.
