A First date to remember

A week passed since the boxing fight and I seen Christina. It was awkward to see her after her best friend tried to go out with me knowing that he was 10 years older than me. It was a weekend and I wanted to take Caleb for a walk in his stroller around the apartment complex. I walked for about a few minutes then all of a sudden I see Troy walking from his car back to his place. I tried to avoid him but it was too late he already seen me. He comes up to me and says " hey Sarah, hows it going?" I replied i'm good, how about you and Christina?" "were good, also don't worry about Christina. She's not mad about Evan." he said in a cheerful voice. I looked at him thinking Christina must have talked to him about that night. I smiled and said " Oh good, I didn't bother him he came up to me wanting to go out. "I told him my age and he didn't care" " I know, that's how he is. " If he likes something, he doesn't care what he has to do to get it" He said sternly So I kept tried to change the subject and make an excuse to leave, I felt uncomfortable. I told him " hey Troy I'm going to go change Caleb's diaper, Ill see you around and thank you for the info." He smiled at me and said "okay, if you want to come over tonight were having a game night with some friends and Evan wont be there" I told him " okay I guess that would be fun, what time?" He says "8" I said "okay ill be there, thank you". "No problem, see you later" he said happily.
It was almost 8 and I went to give Caleb a kiss while he was asleep in his crib. I thanked my mom once again for watching Caleb. I walk out the door and head over to Troy's and Christina's. As I walk towards their apartment, I hear a voice calling my name it sounded familiar. I turned around and it was Evan. I thought he wasn't going to be here. Was this a set up by Troy? I pretended to be sweet and nice by saying " hi Evan, how are you? He replied " good, I wanted to ask you something and please don't get mad at me." I said "okay, what is it?" " would you please just go on one date with me and if it doesn't go well, I will leave you alone." I don't know why but I said "okay when? and this is the only time ill go out with you." He looked at me with this huge smile on his face and said "tomorrow night and I want to take you out to my friends Italian restaurant." I thought to myself Christina warned me and she will probably be so mad that I went out with him. But if Troy set this up somehow, then were they both of them in on it?" I snapped out of it and told him "okay, ill meet you in the parking lot right next to Troy's car at 8." He smiled and said "I cant wait" So I walked away and looked at me confused because I was heading in the wrong direction back towards my house. I decided not to go to Troy and Christina's and just go home. I will see Evan tomorrow and figure out what I just did.
The next day had come and it was about time to go on this date that was a big mistake and didn't understand why I agreed to it. My mom and Caleb fell asleep early and Yvonne was always working nights so I quietly Walked out of the door and headed towards the parking lot. I see Evan waiting for me leaning against what I was assuming his S-10 lifted truck. I walked over to him and he said "wow you look beautiful, let me open the door for you" I blushed and told him "thank you" so I get in the truck and we drive in a bit of silence on our way to his friends Italian restaurant. We finally arrive and Evan finally says something to me. " I hope you like the food, I love the food and my friend is the best chef." "i'm sorry that I didn't talk the whole way here, I am nervous and didn't want to say anything stupid." I said "its okay, I didn't know what to say either" He gets out of the truck and walks around and opens the door for me. I walked out and thanked him. We walk into the restaurant and his friend greeted us. Evan introduced us and his friend gave us the best seats there. We ordered and started to talk while we were waiting for our food. We ate and then Evan payed the bill. As we got up we said bye and thank you to his Evans friend. We walked out the door and got in his truck and of course Evan open my door for me. We sat in the car for a minute and Evan asked me " how was dinner Sarah?" I replied "it was really good an your friend is really sweet" He looks at me and smiled, we start to head over back to the apartments so he could take me home. We were laughing and having a good time and I caught him staring at me intensively. I looked ahead and I seen this car run out in front of us and I looked at Evan and I gasped. By then it was too late and all I remember was waking up and the truck was on top of this small car and my head was pounding. What just happened?" I felt like I wanted to sleep and in a lot of pain. I looked over at Evan calling my name and it sounded like he was far away but he was right next to me. I looked at him and he was in a panic. Was I dying? is this a dream?
