Life without Cameron

Sarah's POV
It had been 3 weeks since Cameron left us. It was hard the first few days but I actually got over it rather quick. I was still going to High school a continuation school that had a daycare on campus. So it was perfect for me and Caleb. It was a Monday morning I was getting me and Caleb ready for school. I feed Caleb and I grab a banana to take with me. I take Caleb and walk to the corner waiting for the bus to pick us up. The bus arrives and we go on it and I hear a voice calling my name "Sarah" it was my friend I met named Mary Anne. She didn't go to the same school I went to but this bus took students to 3 different schools. I met her on the bus a couple of weeks ago and we became friends rather quick. Mary Anne Waved at me to come sit by her like she does every time. I pick up Caleb's car seat and I buckle him in the seat between me and Mary Anne. I sat down and sighed, Mary Anne asking "whats wrong Sarah" I replied "nothing just tired and I am sick of this school to be honest" She giggles and says " Its not for much longer right? you only have 2 months to go" I nodded and let out a big sigh, and said" i know it just sounds like forever. We were approaching my school and I started gathering mine and Caleb's things. The bus pulled up in front of the school, I reach getting Caleb and my bag. Mary Anne lets out a small sigh saying "Sarah I hope you have a good day and just hang in there" I replied " thank you Mary Anne I appreciate that, I hope you have a good day today too".
I walk off the bus with Caleb, walking towards the daycare room to drop Caleb off. I walk passed a guy Iv'e never seen here before. He was gorgeous, he had jet black hair and bright blue eyes. He looks at me as I pass him by taking a second look. I continued walking taking my eyes of him before he noticed I was staring at him. It was to late he noticed. He caught me the second i took my eyes off him. He smiled at me, he had a beautiful smile. I continue walking to the daycare room and walked in the door to drop off Caleb. I gave Caleb's bag to the best lady in the world that took the best care of Caleb,her name was Vanessa. She always took care of my baby boy as if he was her own. Then i said my goodbyes to Caleb and thanked Vanessa for watching him so well. I headed out walk towards my first class. As I approached the door a deep voice called out saying "hey" I turned around and there he was the same gorgeous guy I was staring at earlier. I replied "hey" He introduced himself and said, " my name is Josh, I replied "my name is Sarah" He then asked " Is this a math class? I responded "yes it is" He looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes and said " oh good, this is my first period class", "its my first day here and I wanted to make sure I was going to the right class" I giggled and replied "well you got the right class" nervously. I don't know what it was about him but he made me nervous. He kept staring at me really weird, I wasn't sure why but it made me blush.
All of sudden the classroom door opens and Mr. Pasanski opens the door and lets us both in. So Josh nicely says " after you" he was such a gentleman. I walked in and him following behind me. I sit in the seat I normally sit in and Josh sitting next to me. I wondered why he sat next to me. So I started taking out my pencils and books to get ready for class. Then all of a sudden a voice that sounded like a whisper saying " do you have an extra pencil I can borrow?" It was Josh, he was like 2 inches from my face asking me for a pencil. I got a little nervous, but i acted like it didn't faze me and replied " yes I do" so i reached in my bag and handed him a pencil, I always had extra of everything. He grabbed it out of my hand and said "Thank you" I replied your welcome. At that moment i started thinking to myself am I actually having feelings for a guy I just met? Whats going on with me?. It hadn't been that long since Cameron left and I wasn't sure if ready for any kind of relationship with a guy. So I stopped thinking about it and tried to concentrate on the teacher as he started to talk about the days lesson. I seemed to be in a daze because all of a sudden I hear the bell ring that class was over. It felt like only been here for ten minutes. I snapped out of it and I hear a voice call out to me "hey Sarah" it was Yvonne a girl who was part of the towns gang. I replied "hi Yvonne". I couldn't stand her she was a bully and tried to get me to give her stuff I had and needed. This was one of the reasons I wanted to leave this school her and her dumb friends. They acted like they ran the school and only hung out together and tried to bully everyone else. I took a deep breath and asked her " what did you need. She replied, I need you to do my homework for me" first time she asked me to do that usually its food, money or to use my cell phone. I sighed and told her "i am not that good at math, I wouldn't be able to help you much" Then I hear a deep voice behind me saying " I can help you I'm good at math" It was Josh. My hero I thought to myself.
