Chapter Six Jason was still asleep when she woke the next morning. While she showered and dressed, Kristie ran the vision over and over in her head. There were no clues in it to how she might do anything about the situation. Nothing at all she could act on. The desolate terror in the man’s eyes still haunted her. She wished she had some idea who he was or where the scene had taken place. She left the room quietly in search of coffee. By the time she’d retrieved two cups of java from the pot in the lobby, she’d reached the only available conclusion.
