The Last Werewolf

Chapter:Five

"Well hello there boys, were you able to find everything I needed?" My mother asked as she walked over to us with a few Omegas to unload the stuff from my truck. I nodded to her and continued to tell her that we had run into my mate at the shop as well. She smiled and thanked us for going. The guys and I settle down for the evening after a very good dinner as always. Chris and Nate are playing video games as usual, and I'm sitting there in my oversize recliner flipping through the channels when I hear my cell phone go off with a new text. My mate had finally texted me to say that her friends are fine with me and the guys coming over and to bring trunks and a change of clothes. This is going to be awesome! I thought to myself. "OH MY GODDESS!!! We're going to see mate in a swimsuit!!" Max was going crazy with excitement, zooming around while wagging his tail. "Dude! Chill out!" I said. He just huffs and slams a wall up.

Nate looks back at me while I'm just sitting here with a huge smile on my face. "Rick, what's up with you bro?" He asked, "Ash just texted to let us know that it was fine with her friends for us to come and to bring trunks and change of clothes." Chris jumps up with a weird look. "Are you sure it's a good idea? What if there's an altercation or something, and we need to shift?" I think for a bit, he does have a point. "I'm hoping nothing like that will happen, We'll just have to keep our cool ." I know Chris means well and I understand his concern.

I said goodnight to the guys and made my way to my father's office where I found my mother as well. "I'm turning in for the night, love you both." I said as I hugged and kissed my mother on her cheek. "Goodnight baby, love you too. I just can't wait to finally meet your mate honey!" She says "Goodnight son, I'm sure your mate is lovely, I'm pretty sure your mother is already making plans and dreaming of grandpups." I look over to my mother who has a shocked look as my father lets out a deep chuckle. I head on over to my room and get a quick shower, then get my shorts on and jump on my huge king-sized bed. I can't help but to think to myself. I can't wait for my mate, my love to be lying right next to me, she's just so perfect. So damn happy that I saved myself just for her. I started to drift off dreaming about my beautiful mate and, soon to be Luna, to be at my side forever…

(Ashs POV)

I'm woken up by these two crazy ass best friends of mine by Kim running into my room with Toni right behind her and jumping on my bed yelling happy birthday as loud as they can. I slowly open my eyes and give them the most evil look I possibly can make, but they just laugh and stick their tongues out. I stretched out, which caused Kim to get pushed off the foot of the bed. "What the hell was that for, ya s**t head!" She yelled at me, but I just rolled over and ignored her while covering myself back up. She leaves my room and I start drifting off to sleep.

Unfortunately, the door swings open again with a hard thud. Kim runs back in and tries to jump on my bed again, but she over does it and bounces right off the other side, landing with a loud thud of her own. "What in the hell is wrong with you, ya damn crazy weirdo?" I yell while laughing. "Oh you hush it! I was trying to jump on you again, but it backfired, and now my poor ass hurts." She says as she stands up while rubbing her backside. "Get your ass up and get ready, lover boy Rick will be here soon." She says with a wink. I throw one of my pillows at her, but she smacks it away. UGH!!! This is going to be a very long day.

Once showered and ready with my swimsuit on under my shorts and a see-through tank top, I make my way down the stairs and see Kim and Toni setting some things up along with a few others that are helping out. I happened to see someone I haven't seen in a very long time. Paul, who happens to be Kim's ex-husband, is at the grill getting it prepared for when it's time to cook. I gave him a big hug and thanked him for coming and helping out. He and Kim may not be married anymore, but he is still like a big brother to me.

It's about 11AM and I suddenly start feeling very dizzy. Along with a very bad headache that came out of nowhere. It feels as though there is something that is inside my head trying to scratch its way out of my skull. I don't know what the hell is going on, but ever since I had that weird dream with that wolf creature, my emotions and all my other senses are going crazy. I don't even know how to explain it. The creature said that his name was Max, and that I had already met his human side. Also, that everything else will be explained to me when the time comes. Is this even possible? A person, a human changing or shifting into something else. I have so many questions, and so much to try to even figure out, that I don't even know where the hell to start.

I decided to talk to Paul a little bit about the dream. He really didn't seem to be worried or anything. Kim and Toni ended up hearing our conversation and they both seemed to be a little worried, like I'm over working myself, which wouldn't be the first time I have done it. "You may just be overwhelmed Ash, I know how you are when it comes to your job, you hardly take any time off to relax." Paul says. I get something for it and continue on helping the others.

It's been about an hour since I have talked to others about my dream. I'm starting to get very dizzy once again and the headache is so much worse. It must have been noticeable because Toni came up behind me with a concerned look on her face. "Hey, it's still early, you should maybe go and lay down for a little while? One of us will come see how you're doing when it's almost time, OK." Kim and Paul both agree. Paul puts his hand up to my forehead and then nods. I make my way up to my room and wrap myself up in my blanket hoping to nap away the pounding in my head.
