4 months had past since Amory had joined the army . She had changed dramatically but she stood proud at her self. Her black hair was a mess but she didn't care , she was strong and tuff as nails.

Once in forever Amory had confidence .

Her general was always impressed with her strength and boldness. Amory was ravishing her skin sparkled under the sun like the moonlight washing over crashing waves. But the men didn't care about her pretty face they only cared about her self. Amory was now welcomed to the battlefield . She was told both horror and legends about the battles and war.

Her breath drew sharp as the helicopter hovered over the broken vace land . Crumbled stands of rock struck out off the ground. As the helicopter slowly fell to the ground she felt Jack body tense. He had been on the battlefields before. But he was still afraid. As her feet rested onto the still ground Amory stopped . She went still. Bodies laid like lumpy hills. There faces blended in with the ashes ,blood and flies .

The smell of rottening fleash stung her nose.

Amory swallowed a hard gulp and her breath drew sharp. It like a horror movie but this is reality .

As her boots sweep across the lumps of dead people , tears filled her eyes.

Jack went ahead , he looked fine. But he was stiff. Amory had gotten to know Jack more as the days went by. She could tell when he was upset or worse . He had nightmares ,Amory would hold him down at night when woke screaming from war.

Amory walked up to Jack and gently tapped him on the shoulder . "Hey." She brushed her hand. against his arm . "Are you ok?" He gasp out a hard breath like he was holding it.

She put her hand on his face and pulled his eyes to her . "Im fine ." Jack stared stiff into Amory's eyes. Her heart fluttered as her stomic churned

The day had past hard. They laid camp on the fare east across the hellsih land . You couldn't see the tormented land from where they laid but you could fell it.

"Tomorrow changes everything ."

Greta broke her out if thought .

"Mmm ..yea your right." A deep hard pit sunk into her chest. What if she wasn't meet to be here? What happens when she sees the battle in play. Amory had fought so hard to be here , she felt like she belonged here . But it sometimes bothered Amory. How messed up was she to find the army ..home ?

But again if feels home here ! what happens with tomorrow? What if again she must move on? Amory had a deep sicking feeling . She didn't want to leave again. She didn't want to be along.

Amory didn't sleep the whole night .

She sat on her bed and stared up into the sky . Her wings still burned but they where ok. She saw Jack leave camp and fallowed him deeper into the forest . He sat down under s tree and stared up at the state's.

"Hey Jack." She stepped out of the darkness . Her skin lit up like a flare .

"Hey pheonix !" He chuckled . It was Amory's new nickname from what she did months ago. Greta still used her name . The moonlight gleamed through the wide spread branches . The soft light danced across there faces as the shadows danced from the limbs. You could see there blue eyes flaring like fire each other. Her soft foot steps soothed him . Jack got warm feeling that spread throughout his body.

"Hey are you ok ..you scaring me ?" Amory asked in a soft tone . "Scaring you?" His voice cracked a little . Jack was hurt that he had scared her . Jack walked closer toward her. The shadows washed over him dancing between the lights. Amory looked as if she was glowing . Her vibrant skin was shimmering ,they both where luminous .

But Amory gleamed the loudest .

" I'm sorry ..I always seem to do this .

Its just the memories of -" Jack stopped and went quite . "Its ok ....I understand.

You don't have to say it. " Amory spoke out .

Her voice carried out like music for him.

"How do you..Why didn't you bother to talk about it?" Jack asked as he looked down on her . "Because ..jack I know how it is not to want to say or talk about something. It could have been ..years. Years ago when it happened and it still hurts everyday.

And your fine not wanting to talk but when people force you to its.. Amory voice shifted it went soft . Her eyes glared at the moonlit ground as she search for the right word.

"Its over whelming ." She looked up to him . He slightly smiled as they both went silent .

"Thankyou. Phoenix." He chuckled . It ment so much for him that she understood. In a way it scared him . But in another , he was satisfied to know he wasn't the only one.
