The sun lite the sky , water slowly ran down a small creek . Churning in ripples flowing heavily as Amory slowly opened her eyes . She was happy she looked over and saw how jacks numb body gently rested against hers . Amory smiled warmly and inhaled a deep breath knowing today was going to be hard . Amory was full of anxiety that jumped around in her, twisting her stomic in tight knots . But just one glance at Jack peacefully resting . His eyes twitched. as they slowly open . "Oh!..my! " Jack stumbled to his feet. "Um .. sorry wasn't expecting to wake up like this ." Jack nervously babbled along. Feeling stupid. with the way he reacted . "Wow!" He replied breathlessly . Amory's hair was messy with waves that crossed over, covering each other . Her blue eyes piercing through her black hair that folded over her eyes . His heart thumped .

"what ?" Amory asked . Amory looked up at Jack his brown eyes were droopy and soft .

A weird feeling filled her stomic , it wasn't nerves . What was it . "We..should get back to camp ! We don't want to be late . " Jack replied as he exhaled sharply . Amory stood up catching eyes with him . They stood silently sinking into the story of there eyes .

... The camp sight was nuts . People were covered with dirt as they marched in the hot sun . There faces painted green to match the trees . Amory's back burned bitterly as she craved to stretch her wings out . They were brunt badly she wasn't sure how bad . Though it burned as she twitched them .

Marching beside greada and Ben who held hands contemptuously . "So were where you last night ? " Ben asked . Greada batted her eyes at her . "I ..just went to see Ben . He was upset . " Greada laughed and Ben smiled eagerly . Amory stopped . Confused by there reactions. She tiled her head squinted her eyes. A fast silent moment breached between them . Amory slowly began walking still confused but forced herself to believe it was some human behavior she misunderstood . The trees were thick and sharp rocks spiked up from the ground.

Amory tumbled on the rocks her heavy back bag weighing her down. Her uniform was hot and stuck to her sweating skin .

Her boots dragged through the mud .

Bam! The ground shook causing them to stumble over the rocks . "Everyone hold!"

Amory's finger tighten in the trigger of her g*n. Her breath sharpened . The forest was soundless there breaths shaky . Everyone aimed there guns at the sky as the humming of a engine wailed through the sky.

Bam! The ground shook as dirt bursted from the from ground . Smoke filled the air around them as Amory became buried under heavy dirt . It weighted her down tremendously . She could catch air ! She kicked her feet and dug her nails into the dirt . Bam! The ground shook again , Amory felt her self getting crushed as another cluster of dirt collapsed.

She kicked desperately as her lungs were beging for air. Muffled booming came rapidly . The dirt started shifting up and down . Suddenly she felt her hand begging held tightly , as they pulled her from the dirt.

As she forced her eyes open all she could see was smoke. "Amory watched out !"

Her eyes open as Jack tackled her to the ground . Amory only got a short glimpse but it was filled with ash and blurry nothingness . Her head smacked the ground making her feel numb . Her vision went blurry as she tasted blood filled her mouth.

Boom! Aloud shattering sound left her ears ringing in pain. "Come on Amory!" Jack pulled her to her feet and graved her arm pulling her as she stumbled . Through the ash , through the smoke ,Amory was blinded by the light as Jack pulled her out of the whirling cloud of smoke. "Everyone get to the trenches !" There commander yelled .

Racing through the woods the surviving team was half beaten . Amory was hot and felt dizzy. Thud! Amory fell into the trench as Jack did to . "Hey Amory are you okay?"

Jack asked , Amory clouded see him but she could hear him . Jack sipped the blood dripping in her eyes . "Jack?" Amory asked .

"Yeah ? " Amory swallowed . "What the hell just happened? " Jack chuckled. Amory smiled slightly ignoring the pain bitting at her head . "War ." He replied .

It was dusk now star's began to fill the sky as they waited in the trenches .

Amory was quite . She knew it was dramatic to think , but what if she wasn't ment to be here. Over what happened , she began to think perhaps she wasn't strong enough.

"Hey, are you ok ? " Amory looked up to see Jack sliding down beside her . They both were bord and cold . Amory was beging to be sick of staring out the trenches top.

Deep in the trench it was hard to see the stars. But that was ok , she didn't want to see the stars . All they did was remind her of her family. Family? Was there such a thing ?

She thought family was just lie . Another thing to get by in life .

"Ya....im fine Jack." Amory looked down as she felt jack's body pressing against her's.

"No your not." He replied trying to get her to open. "Well what am I suppose to do about it ." She replied standing to her feet . Amory left wiping the tears from her face.

She wasn't about to get all wet that's just how you get hurt .

The stars hung down as thunder clashed in the distant . Spits of sprinkles fell fron the sky . It was silent as everyone waited for the next fight . Amory focused her attention away from her demons and to the tranquil of nature. The slow steady pace of water as it splashed , churning over the rocks.

The birds chirped aloud in the night sky . She could here the quite rumbles of thunder cracking in the sky . She lade her hand out feeling the tiny splashes of rain hitting her skin. Amory looked up to the night sky. Her eyes stuck to the shimmering of the star's.

They spoke aloud to her . Amory wished she could reply to the quite twinkling .

Way , way up there was home . The place here she was ment to be . Remembering, Amory felt the loud booming of her heart. But they left her !

Amory stabbed her nails into her uniform .

Bam! A ear splitting waved crashes over her!

Bam! Bam! Guns fired sparrowing bullets into the sky .

Amory shot her g*n up , shooting into the distant . "Hold fire! " Jack fell to his knees beside her . "Were did the bullet come from?"

Amory ask . " I don't know ."

"Why?" He asked ?

Amory twisted around firing her g*n opposite from them . "Ahh!!" She hit someone!

"Everyone fire west !" Jack yelled. Amory's g*n jerked her back as bullets rained .

"Dam Amory your supposes to be here."

Jack replied back to her , he was astonished.

But all Amory thought back was " Your here but why am I?"
