A war for warrior

Amory was back at camp , when she got there she was shocked by the commotion .

The storm last night got server and blew down most of the tents . Amory walked pass stranger's , most of them she didn't know.

Amory put her hands in her pocket , but felt something. She pulled it out, it was the note from Josh . Amory shoved it back into her pocket. "Hey lesson up! enemy troops are lining up on are border ! We will use operation

silent thunder . Silent thunder is were a team of troops will attack Russian forces, distracting them . That's were team fire starter will drop a MAU-93 . Its enough to do damage and enough for guys to escape."

Major Jack will lead these following troops , Ben , Greta , Amory , Andrew and wendy ! Lesson up there is a hidden trench followed by a cave. It is north east and about 4 miles from the border line . You will drop set off the MAU-93 and run! I mean Run , now go !

Amory hustled behind Andrew , he was very tall and Buffy , he didn't smell nice nether. Jack was ahead of Andrew why ben and Greta was behind Amory.

"Hey sister. " Greta bumped her arm playfully . Amory smiled along . "what's up ?"

"Nothing much ." Amory glance at Jack's way with her smile decreasing. "Are you mad at Jack?" Greta ask concretely .

Amory pressed her tongue on the roof of her mouth battling with what words to say.

"No, well ..its complicated." "What about you?" A growing smiled filled greta's face.

Amory felt a tug on her heart , a tug she ignored since forever . "Your in love."

Amory breathed out . Her smile disappeared like water vapor scaping into the sky .

She kicked a rock to bring her back to reality , but it didn't work. Blush powdered its self on greta's face , she hide her smile away.

Controlling herself she glance down at Amory , who looked worried .

"Yeah , I guess I am . I'm in love with ben. "

Greta beamed , she loved to say those words . She couldn't believe it herself , Greta always wanted a prince charming.

"Me and Ben are -" She paused on the words . She looked away from Amory , fumbling with what words to say.

"Your what?" Amory asked , with fist in her pockets. "Were leaving , we want to take are relationship to go some were . "

Greta couldn't help but to smile , she looked back up to Amory , hoping she understand.

Jealousy creeped up amory's throat.

Amory was silent for long time , searching for the right words to say. She felt the tugging on her heart again , telling were love ways . "Im so happy for you ." Amory blinked back tears , fighting with the demon's inside her head . Greta smiled with the thought of her new life that awaits her .

It was along trudge through the woods , swamps and hot fields . The sun beating on amory's feathers , it was hard walking caring a heavy back bag and wings.

Amory was still jealous but it was slowly twisting into depression . She skipped pass Wendy and the stinky guy . "Hey Jack-" She ran right into his back , at first she was angry but then followed his eyes. Right infront of them was a city with fire and ash eating it up . "Shut up and follow my lead ." He demanded with a harsh tone . They all slowly creep through the cities broken lands . Amory. glanced over to a black lump laying on the ground . As she walked closer the figure of a child formed. But it was disturbing her skin was black like tar with her face sunken into her skull. Amory looked away holding her breath . "Everyone ! This way!" they squated in a small building , half its wall was missing but was still good for protection. "g*n man." Wendy whispered pointing up to a building.

"Amory?" dedication was in Jack's voice.

"No! We can't shoot they will know were here ." Amory breathed out , her heart thumping . "Just shoot!" "No , all that's going to do is put us in danger !" Amory fired back . "I am your captain ! You lesson to me!"

They both glared at each other steaming.

"Wendy you shoot!" Jack bursted out , not looking away from her. with the flick of her trigger a loud cracking echo shouted from the walls. The man went down and they were on the move . Sirens began to blare stranding them in the open .

Men began to fire on them as they fleed .

Wendy went down. Splitted from her team Amory was helplessly hiding behind a broken wall .

Bullets were hitting the wall she rested her back on . Amory peaked over the corner , the ground began to shake . Multiple tanks were rolling down the road , booming into Amory's ears . They began to fire to her side , she glance over as Greta smoke and fire consumed her. Soldier's started to swarm them ! Were was Jack ? What do I do!

Her mind was racing , Amory saw the soldier's running away from the tanks .

Full instincts took over Amory .

She races towards the tank with bullets raining down on her . She never realized she was shot , Amory fired her g*n at the soilder's who fell like rag dolls.

She slid down graving a shield , smoke filed her eyes . She couldn't see. Amory fell to the dirt as her was struck by a boot . A man with a knife had her pinned down , Amory kicked and scream as she felt the knife on her throat. "Get out of my way!" Amory clamped his arm and threw him off of her but was stopped again by a another .

Amory arm stung as he cutted her .

Flipping his arm around his back she broke it and forced herself into the tank .

Her head smashed against the dash and the driver fought for control . He fired a g*n at her but missed , she fell to the floor kicking the g*n out his hand . He pulled a knife , Amory kneed him and he dropped the knife . She bashed his head against the dash bored and threw him out the door. She stomped on what ever pettle she could .

The tank plowed over everything , she opened the door with flick of a button for Jack. She was relived he was alive , "Get in!"

Amory shouted as he stumbled into the back. with the bomb . Amory stomped on the pettle , the tank went full speed . She aimed her eyes at the tall building holding the g*n men . " Hang on!" With a loud ear splitting commotion the tank drove through the building. Busting through the walls , the tower collapsed ingulfing them into a cloud of dust . Rocks and bricks beated on there tank .

"s**t! Amory you nocked the bombed on!" Jack screamed . "Its about to off ! Open the hatch ! Open the hatch ! " The tank rolled over rocks shoving them each side !

Amory clicked every button trying to find the hatch again !

"Move !" Amory jumped out of the way . She studied the bomb , the timer read 1:45 minutes. The hatch fell open ! Amory lifted the bomb with her fingers on the verge off breaking ! "Amory you can't left that up! I could blarly-" With Jack's words gone Amory lifted the bomb letting a scream out and threw it ! The bomb flew into the air slowly falling , dragging the dust up .

"Amory!" Jack flipped the tank into a trench and jumped to Amory , shielding her with his body . At first Amory thought she was back into the endless shadow of light , the light from her curse . Endlessly floating , with the light feeling hotter and growing brighter .

She couldn't even processes it , church bells rang in her ears . She felt the ground underneath her vibrating . Then she felt it!

The heat eating away her skin .
