Third Person's POV
Andrew was busy cooking their dinner when he jolted and dropped the spatula. He heard a faint sound of "I love you" in his mind. He smiled to himself when he thought of his soulmate. He picked up the utensil and put it in the sink, then he turned off the stove. He finished cooking their dinner. He went toward Ezekiel's room, and he knocked on the door silently while calling his name. He frowned when no one answered. He sighed, and he tried to turn the knob of the door, and it opened. He looked at the younger man's bed, and he saw him knocked out due to tiredness. He unknowingly walked to the youngers' bed, where he fixed the youngers' blanket. He told himself that he would just heat the food when Ezekiel was already awake. The young needed to rest. He deserved it.
He slowly walked out of the room, and he found himself plumping on their couch. He smiled when he remembered how cute Ezekiel was when he was sleeping. He looks like an angel who fell from heaven. How he wishes that Ezekiel was his soulmate, but he knows that he is not, and never gonna happen.
He wants to protect the younger from any pain and sadness. He truly believes that Ezekiel deserves all of this. Ezekiel didn't know that he had made Andrew grounded. He brings out the things that he didn't do to other people. He really fell for Ezekiel. He thinks that he is being unfair because he already had a soulmate. His soulmate already replied to him, but why is he not happy? He knows to himself that he's already f****d up. He is falling for someone that he cannot have. He is falling harder. Alone.
Despite all of this, he just wants Ezekiel to be happy. He wants to be Ezekiel's source of happiness, but how can he do that? He has his own soulmate now. He was fated now to be with someone that he didn't know. Is his soulmate a muted soul? He shakes his head. His soulmate is already talking back to him. He cannot be muted. But why didn't his soulmate talk to him again? He seems scared. He seems very sad. Andrew just pulled his hair. He didn't know what to do. There are a lot of things that keep on running in his petty head. And for the nth time, he sighs again.
On the other hand, Ezekiel woke up from his deep slumber when he heard his tummy growl because of hunger. He pouted because his sleep was being disturbed. He had no choice now. He needed to eat so that his intestines would calm down.
He hopped down from his bed and opened his bedroom door. He frowned because the hallway was too quiet for his liking. He is not used to the defining quietness of the house. He walked down through the hallway and he saw Andrew, sitting on the couch, and he was always sighing. He slowly walked towards him and he put his hand on Andrew's stiffened shoulder, resulting in a little jump from the latter. This brings laughter to the young. Andrew's silly little things bring joy to a tranquil life.
After the little accident, Andrew put his hand towards his heart, acting like a dumb person who wants attention from his crush. Ezekiel just shakes his head at that, and he sits down on the couch, and of course, Andrew is now again blushing. Ezekiel clears his throat and asks Andrew, "You already finished cooking?" he said while smiling. Andrew stuttered and replied, "A-ah, yes." He looked at his watch, "It's been 45 minutes already." and looked back at Ezekiel.
Ezekiel's eyes enlarged and he gasped, "And you didn't wake me up?" Andrew chuckled and said, "You seem tired. That's why I let you rest for at least 1 hour. " He stands up and ruffles Ezekiel's messy hair. "I'm just going to re-heat it. I'll call you when I'm done re-heating it. " After saying that, Andrew walked towards the kitchen, where he re-heated the food. He didn't realize that his actions made Ezekiel blush. His face was super red. Ezekiel put his hands on his cheeks, and he slowly said the words, "Oh my gosh. "
He didn't want to admit it. But it seemed like Ezekiel was slowly falling for him, for Andrew, his flatmate.
Back at the kitchen, after 10 minutes, Andrew finished to re-heat the food that he had been cooked. He smiles to himself when he took a glanced at Ezekiel, he was blushing. He chuckles and he put his palms at his cheeks, he was smiling non-stop. If his friends will saw him smiling like that, they will teased him that he looked like a fool, smiling like that. Because the truth it, he didn't smile that big before. He only smiles like that when he met Ezekiel. He shakes his head and said, "I really fall to a person that I can really have."
His mind flew and he thought about his soulmate. It seemed like he was cheating on him. Definitely, he's cheating. He's falling for someone that is not his own mate. He smiled sadly. He wanted to stop, but he didn't know how. He sighed again and decided to call Ezekiel so that they could now finally eat.
When Ezekiel heard his name being called by Andrew, he immediately walked toward the kitchen and plopped down on the vacant chair. He was satisfied because of the food that Andrew cooks. They seem delicious. But, he noticed that Andrew was not on his own. He wanted to ask him, but he restrained himself. After saying thank you to Andrew for cooking their food, he just hummed and started digging into their food.
They eat quietly for the duration of the meal. No one wants to start talking. Ezekiel was the one who finished his food first, and he asked Andrew to just put the dishes in the sink. He would wash them later, and he was just going to take a bath. He no longer waited for Andrew to answer and he went straight to the bathroom.
After taking a bath, he returned to the kitchen to wash the dirty plates, but they were no longer dirty. Andrew had already washed the plates. When he was about to leave the kitchen, he noticed a small note on the kitchen table with the words,
"I will just go to take a walk for a moment, don't wait for me and go to sleep already, okay? I have my spare key with me. You need to rest. You deserved it. Good night, Ezekiel."
-Andrew
After reading the note, Ezekiel went straight to his room to sleep with a smile on his face. He lay down on his bed while holding the note that Andrew had made. Then he put it beside his heart while smiling. Besides from his friends, this was the first time he had received a note from someone, and it was from someone he personally admired. He sighs when he feels something strange inside his
stomach. He will definitely ask his friends why he felt that way. It's like his tummy was being tickled. And that very night, Ezekiel sleeps without worries.
