Chapter 2

808 Words
Third Person’s POV Ezekiel awakened in Andrew's embrace early the next morning. He looked up and noticed how lovely his eyes were, even though they were close apart, as well as his sharp nose and cherry pink lips. He desperately wanted to be in his arms, but his body was already trembling with anxiety. He doesn't want to have any feelings for his roommate. He has his own soulmate, even though he has no idea how to reply to his soulmate's messages. His own father forbade him from responding. When he remembered the things, his own father had spoken to him, fear welled up inside of him. That his soulmate would leave him once he discovered he was gay. That he wasn't deserving of becoming his better half. When his own father uttered such things to him, he attempted to cry but he can't. He didn't notice he was shaking from anxiety while still in Andrew's grip. He felt at ease, but it was not the reality. He gradually dislodged the arms that had been encircled by his diminutive frame. Andrew, thankfully, did not wake up. Ezekiel entered his room and shut the door behind him. He was still trembling, but he needed to take a deep breath and relax. After a few, he seemed okay, and his stomach grumbled with hunger. He declined his fathers since the money he had was insufficient to cover the rent on his shared flat with his roommate. The money for their friends' night out, in the other hand, came from the tips that he had been receiving from the café for around three months. And he has no intention of handing it over to his father. For the nth time around, he heard his father's harsh words again. Fag. Idiot. Not worthy enough. Has no soulmate. His father's parting words wounded him in the heart. He wanted to punch his father in the face. He wanted to shout in his face and tell him that it wasn't true. He'll be able to communicate with his own soulmate one day. "Do you have any idea why he didn't reach you again? You're worthless and you're a waste of space. You still not able to respond to his texts. You're a disgusting gay. And who knows what might happen? Your soulmate will never embrace you." After those words, his father left him in the dark night, pained and shaking from crying. Ezekiel looked up in the dark sky and he closed his eyes. Asking the Almighty why he can't even reply to his own soulmate's messages. When his phone buzzed with notifications, he came back to himself. He took his phone from his front pocket and checked his messages. Azi: You okay, Kiel? Azi: Reply to my messages, please. Azi: I'm worried about you... Azi: Kiel, please... Azi: I love you Lewis: Kiel~ Lewis: Where are you? Why are you not replying from our text? Lewis: Kiel~ Lewis: I love you, Kiel Felix: Kiel, u okay? Felix: You know that u can talk to us, right? Felix: We're damn worried about you, Kiel... Felix: Please, reply to any of us. Felix: I love you After reading all of his friend's SMS messages, he smiled. He responded to each of them individually, assuring them that he was alright. He didn't want to talk about his father. After that, he sank behind the closed door, silently praying that he would be able to communicate with his soulmate. His soulmate was all he had. He'll wait for his soulmate till the small arrow in his chest doesn't fade away. He swallowed dryly after closing his eyes. He sent his love a message. "Please hurry up and get me. I've been looking forward to see you for years. I'm hoping you'll get this. If not, I'll keep trying till we meet. Always and forever, I love you." Andrew jolted awake from his slumber when he received a message in his head. He couldn't believe his ears when he heard it. With a shake of his head, he concluded that he was merely dreaming. When he realized he was sleeping with Ezekiel, his eyes were wide open, but he couldn't see him. And he thought that he already goes to his work. He stands up from the couch where he was sleeping when he suddenly stops, this time, he clearly heard the words, "Please hurry up and get me. I've been looking forward to see you for years. I'm hoping you'll get this. If not, I'll keep trying till we meet. Always and forever, I love you." repeatedly. He only muttered holy s**t when it had sunk in. His soulmate had already replied to all of his messages. He was blissfully unaware that he was already crying from happiness. Cause after years of waiting, his soulmate already responded.
