The members of the demegran high council are all seated along with some other Nobles in the presence of the king, they all want to hear why the king is delaying the execution of the other vampire.

They question Damien if he is able to be executing his duties as king or not.

Damien is really angry at the question but keeps quiet, he knows they are really angry and doesn't want to make them more angry than normal, so he listens to the nonsense they have to tell him.

When they finish he stands up to address them.

" Thank you so much for drawing my attention to the things you have noticed that reduced the quality of my leadership,I am more than lucky to be in the privilege of such wise and noble men.

Now to the matter at hand, I'm sure all of you witnessed the event that happened here the last time an event of such was organized. we were planning on executing the vampires. however a very shocking reality was bestowed upon me by our dear goddess and that has left my hands tied temporarily in regards to the female vampire "..

His response elicited murmurs in the hall

" I found out in front of everyone that I was paired with her. we are mates. "

the murmurings grew.

" that is why I can't do anything now in regards to her, I'm very sure no one has ever heard of a lycan killing his mate with his own hands and going on to live a normal life ".

"what's that supposed to mean then".

" what it means is simple, council man Jerome, except you want to comit treason of the highest order then I will advise you not to engage yourself in my affairs. requesting for lucilda's death automatically becomes an attempt on my life".

" your affairs?, was it your affairs when she attacked our kind and killed them".

"there is no evidence showing or proving that lucilda was involved in the loss of any lycan life".

"but she is part of them right?"

"That I won't deny"!.

"atleast she should be made to face a punishment of some kind".

" I can assure you that has been taken care of ". he motions with his hands and they begin to bring the food for the guests inside.

when lucilda stepped in, the gasps were too much, they kept on resounding to the extent that she felt tempted to talk to s**t their antics up, but one look at Damien and she knew that he would make sure he disciplines her should she try anything funny.

so with her head held high she moved on to drop the plate. after dropping it she was turning back to go to the kitchen when a lycan female intentionally bumped into her, the force in which she used made lucilda know that it wasn't an accident and she didn't apologize, when lucilda tried talking to her, she back handed her heavily and made her fall.

A loud growl resounded in the hall and

before anyone knew what was happening, Damien had the she wolf to the on the wall pinned by her throat and was planning on squeezing life out of her.

it took the timely intervention of Killian to the scene before the king was able to back off, and Killian had to call lucilda's name to get the king to relax a bit. immediately Damien turned he picked lucilda and zoomed out oh the hall leaving astounded guests who all couldn't believe what they just saw.

Killian stands to address the people, he warns them that although lucilda might be a vampire but she was still the mate to a powerful lycan. he tells them not to think they can mistreat her cause Damien won't be down for it, they all look surprised and don't say anything more about the night.
