Damien is getting ready to go see Victoria's father, he had already been informed of Killian's arrival.

On a normal day he'd have requested the man's presence but now since he was the one in the wrong, he was going to go meet him. Victoria's father was a rotten old fool, who believed in the old ways, he hated having to change anything. He felt like a union between the king and his daughter would strengthen the kingdom and promote the image of a strong front in the presence of their enemies.

He's done dressing up so he steps out and joins Killian in the outer chambers, together they both ride out.

Once they get there, they are welcomed by his valet and they make their way to his living room. He meets them at the entrance to the living room and welcomes them, he then asks for refreshments to be served.

"To what do I owe this pleasure your highness, commander ? ". He tries to act composed.

"Well, Elder Reuben I think we all know why we're here today, we wanted to apologize for my reaction on vistoria's handling of the case".

" I see " . he seemed to make a yawning motion, trying to show his guests that he's ready for no explanation.

Damien is already on to the games he's trying to pull, and it's beginning to make him angry. Killian catches on and immediately tries to cool tempers and avert the impending storm he can already see brewing.

" As you know elder Reuben, the king presently isn't in a good state of mind, what with his being paired with the vampire princess and he's also torn between what he thinks is morally right, that is rejecting it.

And you know the way this things work, his lycan is the strongest part of him. it controls the man in him. King Damien might hate the vampire but that doesn't make her any less of a mate to his lycan and we know how much our beasts want to take care of and protect their mate. King Damien's lycan probably saw his mate in danger and lost all sense of reasoning ".

" We truly are sorry Elder Reuben about The whole victoria issue ". Killian tried to sound apologetic.

"And if you feel like demanding for a compensation then please don't hesitate to make your demand, I'll make sure you are compensated in full for all your troubles ". King Damien continued.

Thank you so much your highness for making out time to see me, it's no news in this kingdom that Victoria means the world to me, in a her life I have never as much raised my voice at her, let alone a hand. I'm saying this your highness with all true sincerity and respect, your crown is the only thing that keeping you alive at this very moment, had it been anyone else, the man would have dropped dead on the spot.

Damien growled at this, he felt insulted, this man had no right whatsoever to tell him bullsh*t such as this. He knew the man was angry but he was going too far.

see Reuben hearing the growl from the king and feeling the raw emotion of anger emanating from the king was forced to keep quiet, if he wasn't a powerful lycan himself, them the sheer force of the king's power radiating through his anger would have made him kneel down in submission and beg for his life in front of the king.

"And may I remind you Elder Reuben that if it wasn't for the fact of your position on the council then I'd have your head on a stake by the market place in front of the whole kingdom, for all to see what happens when they loose control of their tongues and allow their hearts take over ".

"I'm still your king, Reuben. Don't forget that, and I'm just trying to be polite by coming here in the first place, we all know Victoria was the one who attacked lucilda in the first place, that daughter if yours had no manners, she's a gold digging brainless doll and I'm so happy I have nothing to do with her anymore.

Reuben was flabbergasted!.

His daughter has just been insulted, he couldn't believe it, he wanted so bad to charge at Damien but he knew he would only be fighting a loosing match, there were two wolves who were more superior to him in fighting. No matter how much knowledge he may have gathered. he knew Damien could not be defeated, and then he knew the army commander Killian would rather die than let a single punch touch the king, so he had no choice than to take it all in but just for now, he was going to make sure the king and that stupid vampire in the castle regret the decisions they've made. one day

He kept mute and allowed the king to finish talking before he apologized. he told the king there would be no need for compensation and that Victoria would behave well from that time onwards.

King Damien stood up to take his leave and Killian followed.
