Chapter NineTHE PLANE STARTED to move the moment our belts were fastened. We were running a little late; the traffic had been murder and we left Tokyo an hour later than we had planned. It all seemed like a curse to me, as if since that dreaded kiss in the club, everything was working against me, trying to keep me trapped into awkward closeness with Blake. The morning after had started a long chain of awkward moves around each other, one-liner exchanges, and tons of avoidance.
