Chapter ThreeTHE RUMBLE OF incoming attackers grew louder and my skin prickled in anticipation. I wasn’t the type for battle cries, yet another howl broke free from my chest, echoing through the woods. I recited my mantra of being focused yet relaxed, opening my mind and letting my senses lead me, trusting my instincts and focusing on the now.
