I assisted Madeline with going upstairs to her bedroom. While I was waiting outside her room, I received a call from my sister Claudia in Singapore. I walked away from Madeline’s room so that she couldn’t hear my conversation with my sister.
“Hey there! How are you, Big Man?” Claudie asked me with her happy voice.
“I am doing great sis, how about you? How are you there? How’s mom and dad?” I asked her while I was lowering my voice so that Madeline wouldn’t hear me.
“Mom and dad are fine. How is your stay in California so far? Is everything good as planned?”
“Yeah, everything goes as planned.”
