Like always, Nick opened Claudya's door and invited her in. He got back in the car and started to drive. They were sitting in silence, both with their thoughts.
Claudya was both ecstatic about what happened but also a bit worried about Nick's reaction after he hit Tom. She could not believe that stupid Tom, after he bullied her for so long, would have an interest in him whatsoever. And how Nick froze after he hit him. Genuinely not liking what he had done, he hit Tom.
Claudya needed to know why he reacted how he did, so she tried to break the ice.
"It seems you have transformed yourself into my knight in shining armor." she gently said.
He only smiled at her, a sign that he wasn't feeling bad about this title.
She tried again.
"I saw that you weren't excited after you hit Tom..."
