Back at school, Nick saw Claudya grabbing her bicycle and running towards the forest. He felt that it was about time to leave too, since she had left. The girl had taken a sort of interest in him and now she was no longer there he had lost his interest. Somewhere in a corner of his mind, he believed it was strange behavior, but he moved that thought because he did not think it should be given more importance now. Leaving because someone else left the "party" and it wasn't so fun anymore. This was so not like him. He heard the girl that almost grabbed him back at the scene with Claudya. He was slowly smiling, remembering. That fisty little fox made his blood boil a little bit. Pamela saw this change in him and stopped the nonsense talk, looking at him closely.
" Is it about something I said you smiled?" she asked softly.
They were sitting on a bench near the big windows that faced the woods. She probably chose that special spot because looked a bit romantic and retreated. She made a move to grab Nick's hand but he slowly took her hand and put it aside.
He knobbed his hand and raised his feet.
" I have somewhere else to be", and he left, leaving Pamela alone.
If that could have been possible, she would pick up her jaw from the floor.
She could not believe that was happening to her. No other guy has ever rejected her by now! They were almost on their knees, to sleep with her and this guy? 'Ah the nerve!', she thought. She raised her feet and crossed her arms to her chest, having a not-so-pleasant face. She maintained herself a sober figure, like he wasn't such a big deal as what he had just made, but oh it was... In her mind, something clicked and she wanted that boy. He was looking hot, dangerous, and well, it smelled incredible. She almost shivered. His scent was all over her and that opened up her interest even more.
Along the corridor came Tom and saw all the scene. When he got near, he asked,
"What is with the long face Barbie?" he smirked at her, " You haven't raised any interest in him?" He started to laugh alone at his joke. "You better catch him quickly and make your way with him because that pretty face I will destroy it..." he said furiously. He was changing his mood and temper really quickly.
Pamela looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"The f**k you destroy anything" she yelled at him, " I will destroy you first!" but soon after she had said that she regretted it. Matt took her by the jar and smashed her into the wall,
"We had a good f**k together, but because that doesn't mean you can boss me around, or yell at me for that matter!" he squeezed her hand while saying that.
" OK," she said while gasping for air.
As he had lost any interest in her, he had left her on the ground like a sack of potatoes, turned, and left.
Pamela's tears were falling down her cheek while cursing and keeping her hand on her jar. She was sure that it would become purple. She did not care what Tom had said. He is just a wimp and she will take care of him if it comes to that.
She smiled and could almost picture in her mind what her friends, mom, and dad would say when she would go with him in her arms. What a delight! All the bad feelings she was having went into the thin air. She thought it would be nice to attend a class or two, like that her parents wouldn't have anything bad to say to her, only to be grateful that she grabbed the new boy. While going to classes, she thought they looked like a nice couple.
In the other part of the town, Claudya, who arrived home, went like a storm in her room. She knew her mom was at work and it was the perfect timing. She needed a few moments alone to think about all that had happened today.
She crumbled down on the floor next to her bed and took her knees to her chest. And let tears run on her face. She wasn't sobbing, but it was her way to cope with the sadness that she had inside her.
Her thoughts were, 'Why don't I tell my mom to move? Why do I accept their treatment all this time?'
As always, she didn't have an answer to those questions. Or maybe there was one. She did not want to put her mom in the impossibility to leave her town, job, and home just because she was having a hard time at school!
'I will finish this school, and then it will be something else,' she thought. 'I will be able to provide, too, and I will leave this town that brings me no pleasure to living in.'
Oh, and that new boy today, that was another thing to think.
She jumped scared because her phone rang. Cut her off from her ideas, but it was for the better. She needed to stay strong for her mom not to see what she was getting through at school. All things will be resolved at the right time.
She picked up the phone and heard her mom with her soothing voice,
"Dia, love, please go to Mr. Charles's bakery and get the bread he promised me, he will close faster today and I am starving," she started laughing softly and continued like she knew she might have a bit of resistance from her daughter,
"You wouldn't let your mom die of starving, don't you?"
Claudya felt like the dark clouds that were above her all-day spread in all directions.
She answered with a smile,
"Don't worry mom, just make sure you come fast. I will wait for you to have dinner together."
"I will be back in like two hours darling, be good, and do your homework!" and hung up the phone. Her mom was like that, full of life, and Claudya could not have been more grateful. She heard stories about other families back and forth, but her mom was too.
Her mood changed at 180 degrees, so she went out, and after debating if she should go on foot or with a bike, her first option won. Not before going to the bathroom and making sure she doesn't look like all her flowers died.
It was a beautiful afternoon, late spring, and early summer and she was feeling great. Now she left her mind wandering about the new guy.
She was smiling recalling. Maybe it was better he had not kissed her and been sure it would have collapsed in a small pound of water at his feet. She was so intrigued about the feelings she was having for him. How on the earth that was possible she could not imagine. And she could see in his eyes the feelings were mutual. She never thought of herself as being pretty, especially of the red hair that she was obliged to wear the color because she could not explain to her mother why she would want it changed. But him... he liked it! She did not know much about boys, much towards zero, but she could see appreciation in his eyes. He liked something in her ant that awoke some feelings in her that she never thought she would have. Even now, I remember her stomach was making flips up and down. And her skin was tickling.
Then she remembered Pamela...and lost her smile. She will have no chance in front of her if she puts in her mind she wants him. And interpreting the look she was giving him, that was the case.
Claudya sighed, thinking that she would probably end up alone and with a bunch of cats. That with her red hair and the curvy figure wasn't so appealing to boys. She didn't even have her first kiss yet. She felt like a bad mood was taking over again.
Luckily, she arrived at the bakery store and the feelings she thought were about to take control over her faded.
She took the little bread her mom ordered and liked it both so much and went on the way back home.
While walking on her way back home, she heard a powerful car engine behind her starting to 'walk' almost at her level. She did not turn her head, praying only so don't be any of the bullies from earlier at school. That was until she saw through the corner of her eye the muzzle of the car that was making all that noise. She almost could not believe her eyes. It was a Lamborghini! She did not know much about cars. They were on the same list as boys, but she knew that a Lamborghini was expensive. Now, with the danger of being smoked again, she waited to see who was driving that splendid car.
When it arrived at the front door next to her, she tried to pick it up again from the corner of her eye, but it was impossible. The car had very dark windows. But she did not wait long because the window went down and she almost dropped her small loaf of bread!
It was the new guy! The question that popped now into her mind was, is he a thief? Did he rob a bank or something? Ordinary people don't have that kind of car!
He smiled at her, knowing the effect the car would have on women, and she wasn't an exception...
"I can see that your arms are heavy. What do you say about a ride?" he asked with the most devilish smile.
