The discomfort in sitting in the dinning room watching Edward eating without addressing her presence is quite disturbing.

Has he changed his mind on punishing her? or perhaps he has planned it for later.

Her thoughts flashed back to the moment she had waken up on his bed.

“The last time I checked,I had instructed Mrs Dougenis to hand over the book of rules to you..Has she not?”Edward has said,covering her up with his gigantic shadow.

“Am sorry my Lord..I had wanted a small talk with you but I dosed off”Helena said quietly,not sure of what her response would be.Edward stares at her without saying nothing.He was wondering what he could do to with her.

“Am so sorry my Lord,I shall take my leave now”Helena shifts to the other side of the bed to get up.She was about to leave when Edward stops her.

“What small talk were you hoping we could have had”Edward said with his hands in his pockets waiting for his wife’s response.

“I..hmm..it doesn’t matter anymore my Lord,am sorry for creating inconvenience for you my Lord”She wants to run away again but Edward stop again with his words.

“Why would you come into the room when you had knew your words wouldn’t matter,was it to draw my attention and perhaps you had become lustful all night waiting for me to please you and seeing you had come into my room with no rope on must..”Helena couldn’t bear listening to his absurd words as she defended herself.

“Definitely not my Lord,I had only come here to settle somethings you do which I find displeasing”Helena said which made Edward frown.

“Displeasing you call it..”Edward take gentle steps towards her while thinking of what to say.

“What might those be”He finally stops as he was few inches away from her.

Helena was intimidated by his height.She couldn’t look at him as she was frightened he might hurt her.

“I..I..it really doesn’t matter now my Lord”She chuckles sheepishly.

“You should just admit you had wanted to warm my bed and I wouldn’t complain”Edward said and that had irritated her.

“That was not the reason I had come to your room and it will never be,I had only wanted to tell you how displeasing what you did in your workplace was,am your wife and I should be privileged to state whatever I want and what I don’t,am not going to be your pushover and continue to look at you displease me thus am setting my own rules and you should never object to them cause I didn’t violate yours”Helena knew her last words was a mistake or maybe everything she said was a mistake.She stares at Edward who kept mute staring at her.

The knock on the door saved her but Edward still kept his eyes on her.

Iris announced her presence and she opens the door to meet Husband and wife sharing the intimacy she would never imagined they would share.

“I shall take my leave sire”Iris was about to leave as Helena quickly apologize and leave the room in a wink of an eye.

She had hesitated before coming down downstairs to eat breakfast but she had hoped she wouldn’t meet Edward but unfortunately for her,he had come there before the food was even served and right now he ignores her presence in the room.

She couldn’t eat well instead she keeps her eyes every seconds on him.

“Would you keep your eyes on your meal instead,moreover you had stated I wasn’t of your interest”He said without even glancing at her.Helena sense it was time to apologize to him but she doesn’t know where to start but she chooses to not be quiet.

“I had said it all wrong my Lord,I had only said that to not make you get the wrong idea of why I was in your room”Helena said but Edward kept mute.

Maybe she was wrong after all.She decides to stay quiet and concentrate on eating.

Helena watches Edward leave the room without saying nothing else.She wasn’t sure if she should be happy or sad he left for work since she felt she is yet to have a good chat with him.After breakfast,she decided to go through the library again since she found nothing to do and Edward had left for work so she could move around like she wants.She found two books.One is basically on medical stuffs while the other is to feed her curiosity on Edward’s words.

Of course she is matured enough to know what happens between a man and a woman but she was nervous to put herself to ever be in that position.

She was curious of more intimacy between a man and a woman.

Helena shut the door of her room as she jumps on the bed to settle down and bury her mind in the book.

Edward mixes water in a container with a blue and red liquid substance and it brought the color he had expected.The liquid in the container turned chalk white after few minutes.He turns to face lieutenant Gray who had his gaze fixed on the container.

“I had instructed my men to question the sellers of the two substance,am sure they would know something or perhaps someone who had bought it few weeks ago,since the two are common for killing rodents and pests,it will be add to find the culprit”Lieutenant Gray said.

“I will find the cure in no time to pure the town well”Edward said.He couldn’t wait to escape to his space at work to avoid anymore work.He had been stressed for the past week,he hardly went home.He only saw Helena when he dinned in the morning and they had shared no words other than Helena greeting him but he has always ignore it.

He couldn’t get much of a free time unless he gets past his work.He is yet to think of a suitable punishment he could give her but he found known.He is not some animal to lash his wife nor could he bear to watch her do difficult things.Instead he thinks of making her stay in his room at night to discomfort her.

After closing at work,he decided to clear his mind with his little slut at the brothel.Richard had gone along with him as always.He had some time with Miranda before heading home.

Like always,everywhere was dark and quiet.

He wonders if his wife didn’t sneak into his room like she had the last week.

He decides to stop by his wife’s room but didn’t care to knock as to not cause any sound.

Helena was fast asleep with a book on her chest.Edward had learned how much a book matters to her with the way she clutch them to her chest.

He looks at her pale face and gets the urge to touch her.He seats beside her and retrieve the book on her chest.He closes it and lay it on the small cabinet beside her bed.

Helena didn’t know what had awaken her but she had felt the presence of someone else in her room.Her visions were at first blurry but then she rubs her face to meet with Edward’s gaze.

She was surprised to see him in her room so late at night.

“I thought I could get to listen to your rules but you were fast asleep”Edward said.He doesn’t understand why he had explained himself when he had simply come to his wife’s room.

“I had forgotten about that my Lord,it was just a blab I shouldn’t have mentioned”Helena couldn’t find herself to say what she truly wants especially the state they were in.Knowing fully well of what could happen in a split seconds.

Edward wants to close the space between them and stay in her embrace all night long but she stayed away.Before getting more intimate with her,she left her room without bidding her a goodnight.

Helena watches Edward exit her room and her nervousness calm a bit.She wants to avoid being in the same space with him anymore.But she couldn’t lie to herself of her own interests.She wants to explore more but she’s afraid to get close.Would she keep starving herself off her interests?She finds it hard to fall asleep anymore so she kept her eyelids awake till the c**k crows.It’s another day to avoid her mysterious husband.
